Look I saw Megan and DaBaby two weeks ago and they’re billed in exactly the right places.
This lineup is good.

How does one responsibly-ish fiscally do Coachella? (I’m actually being serious and want tips. I wanna actually go to this and have no clue what to do.)

Life comes at you fast. I didn't think I'd run into multiple names I didn't know in the second lines but thats how it goes. I was hoping DaBaby was at least the son (grandson?) Of Dabrat but no luck.
Good to know that The Anschutz Corp isn't part of the Machine being Raged against.
Also glad that Noname is holding firm on that hardline stance of not performing in front of predominately white audiences.
Thanks for reading

How does one responsibly-ish fiscally do Coachella? (I’m actually being serious and want tips. I wanna actually go to this and have no clue what to do.) Nabbing one of the camping bundles is the cheapest at this point. In past years we’ve stayed at 2/3-star hotels in Palm Springs (about an hour outside the fest); they do a decent job of scheduling shuttle routes across the surrounding area, you just need to purchase a shuttle pass. However, we booked the hotels like a year in advance... no idea what is available at this point. If you aren’t gonna get shitfaced every night it is probably worth it just to find a shit hotel far-ish from the fest, rent a car, and just sucking it up and doing the commute every morning/night.

How does one responsibly-ish fiscally do Coachella? (I’m actually being serious and want tips. I wanna actually go to this and have no clue what to do.) Sadly it's like impossible. For flights it's roughly $300, the ticket about $500 so already it's adding up. My first year I rented a car and drove out. I was supposed to stay with a friend of mine who lives in in LA and his cousin in Palm Springs but neither ended up going. Fortunately, my friend felt bad about it and let me borrow all his camping gear, so that saved me a lot of money. Second year my friend and I did the same thing except we just stopped at a Walmart beforehand and bought like $150 worth of camping gear. He was able to bring a tent but we bought a canopy, chairs, sleeping bags, etc. It was fine but I felt pretty bad just throwing it away at the end of the fest. If we go this year, I'm trying to talk my friend into a jucy van. A little more expensive than what we did two years ago, but much better for the environment and not nearly as wasteful. Their vans that have a bed and sink and fridge and ac. Only about $250 each for 4 days. So a little more expensive than renting a car and buying camping supplies but also much more convenient. The cheapest hotel I could find yesterday was like $240/night. So depending on your comfort level it's anywhere from like $1,400-$2,000. Not including the like $80/day on food and booze while there.

I was looking at the lineup again this morning and this would be an extremely fun weekend. Having said that outside of Frank Ocean and Friendly Fires the other acts I care about I either saw in 2019 or will play Chicago this year . If I still lived in the live music wasteland that is Florida I would for sure be going.

Having said that outside of Frank Ocean and Friendly Fires the other acts I care about I either saw in 2019 or will play Chicago in this year . If I still lived in the live music wasteland that is Florida I would for sure be going. This is kinda where I'm at. Will these acts be touring? Yes. Will they be coming to a city near me? Doubt it. Best to just hit them all at once. Last year I was heavily considering traveling for Lana, Twigs, and Thom individually so traveling for all of them plus more is a no brainer. That being said I would still probably travel for Frank if he does end up doing a tour and combine it with visiting a city like I did with Robyn and Boston last year. Still trying to find clarity on Weekend 1. There's the presale on Monday at 12 pst and then the general onsale at 3 pst. A lot of people are thinking Weekend 1 is sold out for the presale but not the onsale and it's just Coachella attempting to get more people to attend Weekend 2. Worse comes to worst I'll go through Stubhub.

I feel like even when Weekend 1 was sold out they still had an AMEX on sale so you might want to keep an eye on that.

Might be worth a shot if you don’t want to go the Stubhub route
