fwiw the hotels in the area appear to be all sold out for those rumored October dates (big ups to CG for being on that). Fuck it, I need some optimism in my life. I'm going to the polo grounds in October

Don't hold me to this. But, as you (and everyone else) should be aware: Most of the Powerful Insiders (who decide these things) have been saying for months that there is ZERO Chance for Large Festivals before 2022. In fact, an April 2022 Coachella is less than 50/50 and if it happened in April 2020, it would be a Miracle. Lolla is Definitely going to cancel in 2021, and might be around 50/50 in 2022 (with the traditional August dates). It is what it is. Like I Said, all.of this has been common knowledge for Months. Why didn't you tell us this earlier? all.of this has been common knowledge for Months.

Soooo if Coachella really is happening October 8 / October 15 2021, Bauhaus just announced two shows in Mexico City the following weekend.

Rumor has it Outside Lands is announcing a move to October tomorrow. That makes a lot more sense in this context.
I'm guessing ultimately Goldenvoice just decided possibly running two editions of Coachella in 6 months just wasn't worth it, and they'd rather save their juice for April when they can get away from the glut of rescheduled fests and line-up more international and exclusive acts. Best of 2021 with some people who won't be hitting the road (at all or in the US) until 2022.
Disappointed, but not surprised. Can't believe I'll be waiting 2 years to use these damn passes. Luckily it sounds like plenty of other festivals will be moving forward to fill that void.

Hilton Garden Inn in Rancho Mirage has $124 per night rooms for both likely weekends in April 15-17, 22-24 available. I booked for both but if I go it will be likely weekend 2 since it sounds like my sister - in law is planning a big birthday party for my brother that will be during weekend 1.

Wouldn’t W1 likely be 4/8-4/10?

Wouldn’t W1 likely be 4/8-4/10? That's what I was thought initially but people on inforoo have noticed some 2020 acts rescheduling their tours with dates that make the 15-17 and 22-24 more likely

Booked for the first weekend. Think I caught it just in time since only king rooms are available

I can't believe I have 3 (fully cancelable) rooms for a fest now on 3 different weekends. I hope bands I like play this fest.

I went on the Coachella reddit and it's looking like a solid list of names so far confirmed. I'm sure there will be some other stuff in 2022 surprised. Thanks for the hotel room bump modbot
