Riot is going to be the last to cancel, aren't they? Knowing them, they'll do it the week before the event

Not really sure why they are even floating a limited capacity version. California isn’t going to allow a 60,000 capacity event. unless there’s a vaccine or an extremely effective treatment.

Why go to Coachella when you can visit the Avengers Campus down the road?

Why go to Coachella when you can visit the Avengers Campus down the road? I think I'd rather stand in an empty field and enjoy silence.

So are they talking about having a limited capacity fest in April and then another full one in October of next year? What would be the point of doing both? Is it help the local economy and provide some jobs for people/artists? That's a good reason, just wondering if there are others.

I would guess they had contracts out to artists for 2021 already and they’re doing their best to honor that

I still don't really understand how limited capacity helps any fest while the virus is going on. No GA festival or venue is going to be able to enforce any sort of social distancing. The most you are doing is harm reduction exposing less people than you would but at that point does it matter

My hotel search is reporting that everything is sold out already and I don't have $1,000 to throw down on a hotel for a fest that might not actually happen

Been thinking about this because I need something to look forward to. Y’all think we’ll get the lineup in early January? I don’t think we do

They are shooting for October? I don't think it would make sense to drop the lineup so far in advance.

To the surprise of no one April is cancelled. Can’t find any word if fall is still on the table Don't hold me to this. But, as you (and everyone else) should be aware: Most of the Powerful Insiders (who decide these things) have been saying for months that there is ZERO Chance for Large Festivals before 2022. In fact, an April 2022 Coachella is less than 50/50 and if it happened in April 2020, it would be a Miracle. Lolla is Definitely going to cancel in 2021, and might be around 50/50 in 2022 (with the traditional August dates). It is what it is. Like I Said, all.of this has been common knowledge for Months.
