That was not a fun commute. My walk from the train to the office is mostly west, and the wind was out of the west, and now I'm soaked.

Even with my umbrella I got soaked on my walk to Belmont.

Yeah my one block walk to Paulina left me pretty wet, although my bag bore the brunt of it. My back is dry at least.

On Tuesday, I was at my doctor's office and I mentioned something about the weather report. He was like, "You believe that?"
I know the forecasts have been terrible, especially lately, but I have to have some kind of guidance.

i worked from home for an hour this morning, then biked to work during a short lull. it only got heavy around a mile from the office. but then while changing, i realized my bag must not have been fully sealed so my pants had like a rorschach pattern of wetness. not great. the ride home was much better.

Paris is supposed to reach 107 degrees tomorrow - that's insane, especially for a region that doesn't normally need or use air conditioning.

Chris was telling me the other night how gross it's been there. And his A/C went out!

My AC has been out for the last few days and it kind of made me realize that I waste a lot of money on AC. The ceiling fans are getting it done. Still have people coming to fix it tomorrow though.
If it was as hot as you’re talking about here I wouldn’t be happy though.

i did not expect to be quickly jumping into my tornado shelter last night... storms just exploded and a small tornado hit a few miles north of me. my shelter is one of those in-ground ones in my garage underneath my car, and when i was getting into it i noticed my garage doors moving in and out like they were breathing. and we got almost 3" of rain in an hour. some crazy shit and that's saying something because we're kind of used to extreme weather around here!

Oklahoma sounds like an incredibly stressful place to live. Is it like always tornado season?

Oklahoma sounds like an incredibly stressful place to live. Is it like always tornado season? i was just telling a friend the other day that i'd love to live somewhere where weather isn't always a concern, like san diego! main tornado season - april - june. secondary tornado season - sept / oct. then we can have flooding during those times too. summer is reserved for 100° temps. ice / snow is nov - march. and earthquakes are year-round!

I think he’s talking about New San Diego, or what is currently known as Las Vegas

I was gonna say, San Diego would be rad until it falls into the sea. One time a friend of my girlfriend's tried to tell me San Diego and Evanston were basically the same and it took everything in me to not to call her a moron

Also Oklahoma could fall into the core of the earth at any given moment so not sure what borracho has to lose here true. with all the fracking going on around here, i'm sure the soil beneath my feet is a little shaky. at least if i moved to the whale's vagina, i'd die happy looking at a beautiful sunset with waves crashing as i slowly drift into the sea.
