A little tired, nauseated and dizzy. I usually get it when I come out here the first day or so.

I think you're supposed to drink until you feel better, but I could be wrong.

I chug water in the airport as soon as I land back in Denver and always tell my friends to do the same. You're probably just dehydrated.

Yeah I usually don't drink anything but water the first day or so. Might try a bit of a gummy and see if that helps the nausea.

Lovely... "balmy" +18F on Wed.. and then back to -18F for the weekend, right in time for our 2-hour trip to a light and sound show.
I guess those snow pants, down coat and hand&toe warmers will be handy again...

My car is really not loving these negative temperatures. It makes a very unhappy noise every time I start it and it hints that it won't be so kind the next time.

The windchill was -2 when we walked into the park to see the fireworks go off at midnight on NYE. The walk to our vantage point plus the time spent waiting for/watching the fireworks plus the walk back added up to about 50 minutes. Not the coldest I've been in my life, but it was probably in the top 25.

yeah, i read the high on new years day was 1 degree which is the coldest ever, and the average temp for the day was something like -2.5 degrees which is also the coldest ever.
i think the high is supposed to get back into the double digits today, but man it's crazy how cold it is this morning.

im sure anyone who has to work outside often would disagree, but i've always felt like once it goes below 0, it all kinda feels the same to me. shitty and fucking freezing, but once my nostrils start producing icicles, i don't really care if it's -1 or -30, i just wanna go inside asap.

There's a big-ass storm moving up the east coast that is forecasted to reach a low pressure within a few millibars of 2012's Superstorm Sandy. Supposed to stay away from the coast and only bring a few inches of snow (followed by a polar vortex air mass :/) unless it tracks to the west more than the models are predicting. Gonna do my best not to leave the building this weekend.
