Yeah, when Lollapalooza did their "one off" 4 day for the 25th anniversary, by the end I was definitely feeling too old for that shit. That was the first and only year I went all four days. It's too much. |

It seems to have worked really well for them to put tickets for the following year up on sale really early, they might just be trying to incentivize a little movement there

I'm also a little confused as to why they made that announcement now. I don't think Misfits, even doing an album play are going to move that many more passes for 2022 this early. It's not nearly as big of a deal as it was the first time, and they've played Chicago again since as well.

My only thought is that Riot might be trying to free up more 2021 passes and get extra cash in the door.
Get current pass holders to transfer their ticket (so they can sell a new one in their place) or buy during the discounted pre-sale.

That album is 25 minutes long and they were playing most of it at the reunion shows.

"Nike a Go Go," "Hatebreeders," "Devils Whorehouse" and "Braineaters" are the four tracks the Misfits didn't play in Chicago from Walk Among Us between Riot Fest and the 2019 Allstate Arena show.
We got "Violent World" in Rosemont, but not at Riot Fest.

I'm just hoping NIN isn't Friday... They were last time I saw them at Lollapalooza 2013, and it made the rest of the weekend a little less enjoyable knowing I already saw the best thing I was going to see all weekend.
I wasn't able to go to Riot Fest in 2017 because my Son was born right before it. And of course they played an amazing setlist that night.

I notice on the image at the top it refers to it as an "extra night" riotfest.org/2020/06/thursday-preview-party/So they aren't saying in advance who is playing it? |

I’m still putting my money on the exclusive set being Bad Religion As much as I do like Bad Religion, I feel like they'd need to work on their definition of sets worthy of bragging rights if that was it. That said, you may be right. My completely unrealistic but not totally impossible thought was a one-off Straylight Run set. Riot Fest hosted their short virtual reunion set last year, and Taking Back Sunday, as always is on the lineup already. Very doubtful, but a guy can dream...lol. |
