I don’t see how a single date on a worldwide tour would be a bigger draw than the misfits reunion. Did that sell out? Maybe single days week of?

Well, that was enough to get me to buy tickets. I have only been to one Riot Fest previously. Also, this will be my first time ever at any festival with VIP tickets! (Getting older and less interested in crowds and porta potty lines).
*If MCR is selling floor seats for $150+ on this tour, then $300 for VIP doesn’t sound that bad.
See y’all in half a year!

Annoyed this is most likely the same weekend as sustain release so I can’t lead the board scream along to MCR
Also it would be so much cheaper to see them this way. Lol. Meh

Someone help me win a free ticket to this. No guarantees but last year I ended up with more free tickets than I could give away, literally.

I have a feeling winning Saturday tickets will be very difficult this year, but we'll do what we can

Unless things have changed the VIP at Riot Fest is not going to get you anywhere near the stage. The super-VIP (or whatever they call it) does get you a decent uncrowded view. My information on this may be dated, though...haven't done VIP since they stopped including drink tickets.

We did VIP last year, and got 5 drink tickets each. But yeah, the regular VIP lounge is about as far away from any stages as you can get.

Looks like you still get 5 drink tickets, but upon further investigation, it’s a shame you don’t get a dedicated viewing area. (I missed that originally. I just assumed there would be one.) To be fair though, I’m still down to catch a good show in the pit and so I’d probably only take advantage of it for a headliner that I didn’t have enough time to get a good spot for. It’s $120 more. The 5 drinks make it more like $70 more. Honestly, that’s worth it for me for VIP entry, private bars/vendors, and private bathrooms.

I've never found the lines for food, drink or bathrooms that onerous at this fest.
But then I've never paid for a ticket, either.

I was telling you all, those empanadas were amazing and had the shortest line consistently.

I remember the food lines being bad the year I went. I can’t remember anything about the portapotty situation though. Although, I like the peace of mind of being able to go when I have to go, and that’s not always the case at large scale events like this.
Speaking of lines... looks like MCR has already sold out some pretty big venues on the tour. Detroit (which might push more people to Riot Fest), Toronto, Boston, and Newark sold out less than an hour after tickets went on sale. Damn.

Am I missing something on Coheed and Cambria’s tour or can we add them to the list of bands almost certainly playing Riot Fest?
