I would also check Micro Center as they have some good deals going on.

What are the input options? I think I have to connect it to a docking station. HDMI?
The cheaper the better, doesn't have to be anything too fancy, but a decent size - 24"?
Thanks y'all!

There are a lot of options. Since they are on sale, you want to try and get the following:
1440p-4K (wtfnot) 144hz 1-3ms (any higher and you could see ghosting with fast action) HDMI (DisplayPort is a plus and what a lot of the new gaming cards are using to take advantage of FreeSync/Gsync. If you're not a gamer, HDMI is fine.)
As long as your dock outputs with HDMI, then you're good. If it's DVI, the wider, usually white or blue, with a lot of holes... you will want to look for that. Probably don't need.

I should add, if you have an older PC/graphics processor, then stick with 1080p.

OK! I'm asking IT what the connections are on the docking station (I don't have the dock at home with me currently). I just have a ThinkPad that's a couple years old, nothing fancy and won't be doing anything more elaborate than PowerPoint with it.

Maybe her hot new beau rocking that Alienware GT. If it's for work, 1080p it is.

After college I vowed I would never do it again, but I am very much the gamer's gf these days lol.
Currently overseeing a version of Red Dead Redemption in which Arthur exclusively sketches animals, takes baths, and picks out new outfits

Thanks! I am actually replacing a JBL flip that just died after 5ish years, but $70 is pretty reasonable.

Ah I gotcha - we were using one that was several years old too and were pretty impressed by the upgrade in quality when we replaced it with the 5 earlier this year!

The past two years I've gotten into audio gear, spent a decent amount of money finding a sound signature I really liked. I'm someone who prefers a "fun" signature over something clinical and 100% accurate. I started with some HD6XXs and Fiio FH7s. I really liked both of them but felt like I wanted to go into the next territory. Ended up selling both, and bought some basically brand new DT1990s for a good deal. I always use glasses when I'm on the computer and the clamp force was just too much and made it very uncomfortable. I ended up getting another pair of IEMs that were highly recommended (fearless S8F), they were too shouty for my taste but sounded amazing in mostly every other area. Anyways, two weeks ago I got the Thieaudio Monarchs and they are perfect for what I'm looking for. Sub bass and detail is incredible while still being super smooth. The price was a tad hard to swallow. Glad to have finally found my ending in this rabbit hole. /end of story.
Maybe when I buy a house sometime in the future I will get a good pair of speakers.

I pseudo-impulse bought a Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. I really wanted a regular, but decent tablet to mainly read comics. I originally looked at the A7, which is very nice, but for a little more, you get the S pen and the Wacom-style drawing surface with the S6 and S7. Super fuckin sweet. Already been doodling during conference calls.

A bandmate and I pitched in and I'm building a decent gaming PC for our singer. His mom died recently and his PC sucks ass. Merry 2021, Tatner.

Nice! I have had my eye on the CX too, it's pretty much the one I hear recommended most of the time. My brother in law just got the 77 inch one and it's absolutely absurd. I think I'm going to wait until I upgrade my Xbox before I take the plunge though.

We have a fairly nice 4K tv and watching the new 2001 transfer on it made me doubtful about the moon landing. I imagine anything nicer would make me a full blown conspiracy theorist.
