websites i go on are always hyping some sous vide stick for a good price that's still expensive. i feel like it's a scam.

I do quite of bit of cooking and I've been wanting to add a sous vide to my kitchen arsenal for some time now. They've dropped considerably in price since the first consumer units began showing up about eight years ago. I was thinking about getting the Anova (my second choice) for $99, but when the Joule went on sale for just $40 more, I couldn't pass it up. Looking forward to experimenting with steak, fish and eggs.
