I only bought a cell phone holder for my desk. I failed at Prime Day. I got some polo shirts. Starting to assemble my old man wardrobe. In retrospect, I probably should have checked on the price of black socks.

Yesterday, I bought a bunch of snacks for the movie to save money, smuggled them in and ended up buying a large popcorn and drink anyway. Dumb.

Yeah I'm pretty stoked. We're going up to Sleeping Bear dunes next month and if it's not super buggy I might sleep in it?

Here was my stupid WDW purchase from the last time I was there. It's super cringeworthy, I'm not sure why I bought it. (I also bought a Spirited Away fan from Epcot but that isn't stupid)

Here's the not-stupid fan and Totoro if anyone cares. Also has my name written on the side, though for some reason the woman who did it used hiragana instead of katakana.

Yesterday I had a new AC and furnace put it. The old one was 17 years old and dying. The reason I'm posting this is to warn homeowners on the board that if you have an A/C that uses R22 freon you might think about changing out your system. We got a letter from our home warranty company that the EPA has banned R22 freon by 2019.
So, basically, in the next two years your old R22-system will become obsolete. But, it will work until you need more freon. Which won't be made anymore after 2019.
Also, if you're looking for a job, it appears that the US will need a buttload of A/C installers over the next few years for all the systems that need to be switched out.

I bought a Playstation TV, mainly out of curiosity. It's basically a set top Vita (PS portable). It even has a game slot. The remote play with my PS4 actually works surprisingly well, but it has very limited app support and no Netflix. I might return it. Pretty stupid.

Ordered this game from Mondo during lunch. I love the game Werewolf so putting The Thing spin on it is going to be pretty amazing.

I too, drop stupid money on anniversary, Christmas, etc gifts for my fiancée. She gets me concert tickets for pretty much every single significant date which I def can't argue with.

Meanwhile, we happily celebrated our 4th anniversary tonight having a bite at a nice but low-key restaurant and then checking out a really funny Estonian movie at the EU Film Festival, before grabbing a cookie on our way home Mind you, I feel even luckier NOT to be the only one eager to wake up at 7AM tomorrow to go attend a free workshop called "When the Reformation came to Geneva" (and neither or us is even Protestant...)

Gonna get all John Calvin up in this bitch It was really awesome (despite my bf and I being the only under 60 in the room)... best part was the 45-minute role play at the end, where we had to impersonate across 5 teams some of the competing clans -- first circa 1535 (which included, as magistrates, trying to convince some stubborn nurses to drop Catholicism once for all!) and then again in 1555 (when we then had to impersonate some wealthy old-crop Genevans pissed off by an invasion of ultra-devout, dancing-ban zealots, French Huguenot refugees!) Fortunately, we did NOT have to green light the execution of an anti-trinitarian heretic or drown a poor Anabaptist

A giant world map with pushpins. We're going to hang it in our daughter's room and monitor where we travel with her. It was purchased during a prolonged sleepless period, but I still think it's a good idea.

My nephew is turning 14 very soon and he requested "headphones" for a gift. Asked a few questions and it looks like he would like some wireless earbuds. Anyone have some suggestions? Nothing too high end. Thanks.
