So that long awaited return from The Prids is do in a few weeks. There was apparently a limited release of it, but I can't find it anywhere. I think the band is recognizing Jan 12th as the official release tho. Anyway, here's the second single, and its a pretty great.

shoegaze fans should really check out the jefre cantu-ledesma album from this year, but mainly this sprawling 10 minute long epic. pretty much perfect shoegaze without the vocals, though some tracks on the album do have vocals.

Sounds Better With Reverb popped back up after being dormant for most of the year, and posted his top shoegaze releases of the year: www.soundsbetterwithreverb.com/shoegaze/albums-songs-of-2017/Lots of good stuff on here. Forgot that the new Aerofall album was released so I'm checking that out now. Loved their first one. Wish they were on spotiy.

found these guys on the shaky knees lineup (apparently they're considered punk and are on epitaph but sounds pretty shoegazey to me)

Spotify's related artists for Teenage Wrist hit all of the sweet spots - Infinity Girl, Deafcult, Nothing, Cloakroom, Hum, Whirr, and Pity Sex (to name a few). their facebook page says they're dropping a new album in 2018 so there's something to look out for.

I just remembered that Cocteau Twins is a band ~~~~~~~~~ I remember them getting booed off the stage in KC at Lolla '96. People were actually throwing stuff at them.

Just wanted to come here to say that Ride is one of my favorite bands of all-time and Weather Diaries was my favorite album last year. Last summer I took a trip to the east coast to see them in Boston, Brooklyn and DC and then saw them a couple months later in Denver.
Also, I can't wait to see MBV in Minneapolis this July. We're living in the renaissance!

We're living in the renaissance! Couple of boarders were at that Denver show (scoots, Wyoming, and myself). Big fan of Ride too, pigs and I caught them at the Shaky Knees aftershow in 2015 also. Zircona and I will be at that MBV show too, driving up from KC.

Sweet, we should meet up! I was also at the Shaky Knees aftershow. That was one of the most incredible festivals I've ever been to.

say what you will about their reunion album (I still like it), they put on a hell of a show both times I've seen them. kinda wish I'd done that Minneapolis show though, setlist looks rad. Hopefully they do a full US tour again before breaking up again.
