I think the NYC ones are today but I'm kinda not gonna bother going alone. Do agree it'd be a great first listening though. They're gonna be crazy packed here too

they're doing a free listening party for the lcd album at smart bar on thursday. 10pm doors, 11pm album plus djs afterwards. it's a thursday, but that kind of sounds like the best way to hear the new album so im thinkin bout it. apparently the album is in stores right now just not "out." a leak is imminent. |

Just listened, album of the year. LCD is my all time favorite band, no question anymore. I had a fucking breakdown while listening to this album. WOW. I fucking love LCD Soundsystem.
Tonite, Call the Police and American Dream are EVEN BETTER in the context of the album. How is this possible?
One of my favorite albums of the decade, not far behind This Is Happening.

wow the lcd album is great. pretty much every song on it is better than the ones that were already released.
sounds more like london sessions than anything.

Right?? I mean, I won't say better than the ones already released, I still hold those are all great songs and I think they shine on this thing too. They felt completely fresh in the context of the record, ESPECIALLY Tonite. But yeah, Other Voices is my jam. Three listens deep.

Made it halfway through LCD on my commute this morning. Solid B so far.
I Used To is pretty much a Cure song in a good way which I liked. I don't think I liked Oh Baby at all.
