I Used To is pretty much a Cure song in a good way which I liked. Yeah I had the same thought which is probably why I love it. I'm loving Oh Baby tho.

I'm pretty into the new LCD on the first listen. American Dream is still the only track I'm not into so far. Emotional Haircut was probably the biggest surprise, but tonite and Call the Police are still my favorites.

Emotional Haircut shouldn't work as well as it does.

That OCS song is pretty good, reminds me of the band Love.
Memory of a Cut Off Head is an excellent album title.

Backers for Ted Leo's new album out next week have already received digital copies of it. So it should be out there soon. In the mean time, new track up on Spotify:
Oddly enough it's under just Ted Leo, no Pharmacists.

Finally was able to listen to American Dream multiple times over the past two days, and I think it's great. It fits in with their entire body of work perfectly, though if this was my introduction to the band I don't think I would be super excited about it.
Only song I'm not crazy about it "Emotional Haircut". I thought it was the weakest of the four debuts I heard at Brooklyn Steel, and it's mainly because the drums get super grating.
Overall, it's not a "fun" album and I don't know if many of these songs will become live mainstays, but it's one hell of a dark powerhouse of an album and I'm super glad they're back.

it's a vinyl rip and the it's slightly pitched up. was obvious enough when i put on the first notes of the first single so not worth it for now. apparently there's a better quality one now but i haven't seen it.

Ah, okay, this is kinda what I was looking for. Will definitely just wait, it's close to release anyway.

new Taylor Swift + Max Martin This is genuinely bad. At least the first one is so clumsy and ridiculous it is enjoyable.

More of a 2018 Releases of Note update, but Ezra says the new Vampire Weekend album is “80% done but the last 20% is always the hardest.”
