love the new BSS. That's 3/3 so far. New Ulrika Spacek is streaming on Soundcloud today: www.roughtrade.com/music/modern-english-decorationAlbum is out on Friday. I was a big fan of the first one, pretty sure it cracked my top 10-20 last year. This one is just as good on first listen, with a little bit crisper/cleaner vocals, but still very gazey. On it. Thanks!

That new Arcade Fire song is not good. It sounds like a parody of them.

Luna, the post-Galaxie 500 band fronted by Dean Wareham, is releasing their first album in 10+ years in September 22nd called A Sentimental Education, which is just 10 covers. It's packaged with a 6 song EP titled A Place of Greater Safety, which is just instrumental tracks. Their last album was in 2006, called Lunafied, and it was also a covers album. www.stereogum.com/1943948/luna-one-together-fleetwood-mac-cover/music/You can pre-order here: www.pledgemusic.com/projects/luna2 And while you're at it, buy the leather jacket Dean wore for the album cover of Days of Our Nights, for $550... If he's really that desperate for money, I'd say a Galaxie 500 tour would be more profitable than selling a jacket.

Is there a way to listen to it without a bunch of dingleberries talking over it

Not yet. It was released on vinyl in Barcelona. Probably see an actual release tomorrow.

It sounds like an ABBA song so it's fine by me

I never would have guessed that Arcade Fire would fall off this dramatically.

I never would have guessed that Arcade Fire would fall off this dramatically. I think it's been a pretty steady decline since Neon Bible, actually

Just read that The Beatles (the White Album) is receiving the same multi-disc/DVD/Blu-ray treatment as the recent Sgt. Pepper set.

Yeah, I missed it but the reaction is really scaring me.
I especially didn't want more disco Arcade Fire.

Will I like this new song if I actually really like Arcade Disco Fire?

Well I loved Afterlife, Porno and the title track. So maybe it's not the disco part. I just want a more accessible, cohesive album than Reflektor was. I really never feel like listening to it.

I don't listen to Arcade Fire much, but if I do, it's only a few songs off of each album, never the whole album.

Matt Pond PA has been churning out charming power-pop songs for nearly 20 years — a run that will extend to 12 full-length albums when the band releases Still Summer on August 11. Its arrival will mark a major milestone in a long and creatively fruitful career: Once tours for the new record have run their course, singer-songwriter Matt Pond is effectively breaking up the band, dropping the "PA" and carrying forward with new projects.mookie

Another summer, another Adult Swim single series. Jason DeMarco, the VP and Creative Director at Adult Swim, posted a list of artists tapped for the program’s 2017 single series including Sleep, Pallbearer, Wolves In The Throne Room, Colin Stetson, Moor Mother, Tim Hecker, Zola Jesus, Run The Jewels, Dinosaur Jr, DOOM ft. Jay Electronica, Brian Eno, Flying Lotus, Migos, Thundercat, Julian Casablancas + the Voidz, Washed Out, Wavves, Shabazz Palaces, and many more. The list also includes Your Old Droog and Jay IDK, who both play the next BrooklynVegan-curated Red Bull Sound Select show. This will be Sleep’s second time contributing to the series, after 2014’s “The Clarity.”

War on Drugs single is real great.
Kind of went full on Bruce finally but I'm not complaining.
