War on Drugs is pretty good, good enough that I finally bought a ticket for their Central Park show.
Foo Fighters single is great. Started off groaning and then it picks up and I'm like "fuck, Dave is finally doing what I want from him again." Yeah, I still dig Foo Fighters in 2017 and I feel no shame.

Ok, oof, that is real bad. They've not put out good music in a long while now... safe to say I'm not a fan right now. This is the song they're obviously promoting as their new sound... I mean heck, they're even selling merch based on it. As such, I don't foresee them making music I like again for quite some time if ever. Hope they prove me wrong because I still love their first three albums but this second act of their career is a real downer.

My opinion on this single (based on that shitty vinyl rip with people talking) is that this "sound" could work in the way that The Suburbs had the title track opening the album. I don't think it's anyone's favorite song on the album, it's simple and sets the tone.
I could see this sound opening up in a way that I like more than Reflektor.
Still, a little worried though because yeah, this song is not very good at all on one listen.

FWIW (very little)...
"The Suburbs" (the song) is definitely one of my favorites off of that album.
"Reflektor" (the song) IS my favorite off that album.

Just listened to the studio quality version of Everything Now and it's still not good but it's at least slightly less unbearable. Hoping the other new song they're debuting at Primavera is better.
