Not sure I'm in a position to rank since I don't really feel like looking up every lineup, but I think Panorama gets a bump for: A) NIN and ATCQ on the same day, making only getting a single day a great choice, and B) having Coachella levels of production. Last year was one of my fav fests I've been to. The art instillations, despacio, and indoor DJ building were amazing additions, not to mention that main stage...

Y'know, I said this, then I went to enter Brooklyn Vegan's contest for free 3-day passes until I realized that even if I got in for free I still wouldn't want to make the effort to go for more than Sunday. *shrug* Tame Impala is a lame as fuck headliner (headliner?  ), and Frank Ocean isn't really my bag. Out of the few acts I'd be down to see on Friday and Saturday, only Vince Staples have I not seen before (not for a lack of trying). Sunday is still pretty great though. Perfect mix of bands I'd want to see (NIN, ATCQ, Angel Olsen, Preoccupations though they'll prob suck, Justice for nostalgia but they'll probably conflict with ATCQ or something) and likely free time to check out the art exhibits and fest grounds, which was a big draw for me last year. Kinda happy to only be doing one day of a fest this year and a bunch of stand-alone concerts to supplement that. I'm kinda over festivals where I'm running solo (which is most of the time) without bands I really care to see. |
