That sounds awesome. I had chocolate covered Ruffles once and thought it was the most delicious thing ever, then I forgot about it for a decade until right now

I have been wanting to make these for a while and decided to today since they're so easy and I have the day off.
I have also wanted to try a chocolate covered potato chip for a long time, but I also know that it would be dangerous for me to have even just one.

I made rice krispy treats with bacon for the Super Bowl a couple of years ago and they were fucking fantastic.

A student just delivered my order of Girl Scout cookies yesterday, so I just ate some Tagalongs. Did you order any cookies?

We got Thin Mints of course. I ordered Smores ones too. Problem is, there's a different version of the Smores ones sold by girls in Wisconsin compared to the ones we get here somehow, and the ones from Wisconsin are much better than the ones sold in Illinois. But since I'm never in the office anymore, I can't get them from the guy at work. Oh well.

How are the S'mores different in Wisconsin? I ordered a box of S'mores, Tagalongs, Samoas, Adventurefuls, and Trefoils. I might still order some Do-si-dos.

The ones sold in IL have the cookie on the outside, and the ones from WI are covered in chocolate. The WI ones are sooooo much better. I found a NYT article that shows the difference, but for some reason google is not working on my laptop right now, so I can't paste the link Edit: here www.nytimes.com/2017/01/13/dining/smores-girl-scout-cookies.html

I ordered a half dozen boxes from my niece, but that was six weeks ago and they're gone now. Do-Si-Dos, Thin Mints x2, Tagalongs, Trefoils and some new ones (don't recall the name). My sister-in-law lives in IL, so they provided a link and we were able to just order online and get free delivery. Now I want Girl Scout cookies...

We only ordered a few boxes - best perk was picking up outside a coffee shop that was offering Samoa Lattes.

Speaking of Samoa flavored goodies, Molly's has a Samoa cupcake right now that is pretty good.

If you should ever find yourself near Carmel/Zionsville, Indiana, then you need to get yourself an ooey gooey butter cookie from Rosie's Place.
My god. These cookies.

Happy Paczki Day!
How many have you eaten so far? I've had four since Sunday and will be eating more.

People, I understand that "delicious vegan donuts" may be an oxymoronic idea to some or even all of you, but allow me to introduce to you Beacon Donuts, which is in an alley just off of Armitage and about half a block west of Halsted. That place has become my go to spot for my weekend donut binges. The blueberry pancake donut is fantastic.

I had no idea they were vegan until I had gone there a few times. I’ve actually been wondering if they’re just lying about them being vegan because I can’t believe how good they are.

Vegan pastry/baked goods taste good because they are made with lots of oil, instead of butter. Not really healthy, but animal product free.

Oh, I'm not under any illusion that they're healthy! I'm assuming they're loaded with coconut oil and probably have tons of sodium.

At least one of you knows this, but for those who don't and who may be interested: I found the Flamin' Hot Mtn Dew at Jewel this morning.
It actually tastes good!
Also, the Crumbl in my neighborhood has been open for a little over a week and a half now, and I've already visited at least three times.

Yeah, Crumbl is dangerous. Their chocolate chip cookies are actually disappointing though. But just about any peanut butter cookie they have is great.

I’m excited to try the new variant of flaming hot dew. Maybe the one can I have left of the old one can be sold online.
Crumbl is good although I will say I have the exact opposite opinion of mookie on this one

Okay, how good does this week's cookie stuffed with M&Ms and peanut butter look? I might have to get it along with the brownie cookie. I already had the passion fruit cookie. I've been wondering about the chocolate chip. One of my friends said it was just chocolate chip, which is fine.

My daughter agrees with me too, so I know I'm not crazy here.

I have no idea what Crumbl is and I have never had a Mt Dew.
However I did stockpile Reese's peanut butter Easter eggs and I'm really happy I did that.

I completely missed out on the peanut butter eggs this year, waited too long to go to the store after Easter and they were gone. All I could get were the versions they made with a marshmallow layer on top. I have very low expectations for those.
