i revisited the TCV record on vinyl last week and it still rips.
there's actually some recent uploads of footage from that tour finally so that's cool

1st time I ever paid a scalper for tix was joe cocker at park west (it was like $50 for a less than $25 face value ticket).
2nd time I saw joe cocker was when, after about 40 minutes of foo fighters bombast at marcus amphitheater during summerfest, I left to catch all of joe cocker's set at one of the side stages.

Joe is obvs incredible there, but I'm equally blown away by the bravery of the guitarist who solo falsettos the call and response questions.

Also - this vid is like the ultimate example of someone just deeply feeling their music on an extremely visceral level (and/or being high as fuck), and it always makes me so happy. The "do you need anybody?" "WWAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH" part just absolutely kills me every time.

He is in another state entirely, most definitely cause drugs, but it just seems to remove every other single thing from his body and mind other than the performance.

Sound and Fury has been hyping the release of the Power Trip set from last year's fest for the past couple weeks and put it up yesterday. I was disappointed that it's a single camera in the balcony but the sound mix is very good and it's fun seeing the crowd the whole time I guess. |
