Cubs and Sox just announced they have been cleared for 60% capacity starting in about 2 weeks. CDC saying that fully vaxxed people no longer need to wear masks indoors. IL Bridge Phase starting tomorrow. Chicago guidance up for a refresh before the end of the week.
Feels like these announcements should be happening any time now.

Having been a part of spin meetings when plans leak before you're ready to announce, this is semantics denial. As in, everyone who needs to know this is happening knows it, but the city wants to save some juice for a big presser and so they don't consider it 'official' yet so they can pull press.
Variety talked to sources. This reporter is quoting a Chicago city comms flack. That's all you really need to know.

I’ll never forget how frightened I was at Lolla 2018, the summer after the Vegas shooting, when they decided it was a good idea to put Ninja’s stream on the south stage video and sound system and suddenly it was just the sound of machine gun fire blasting across the field. Legitimately terrifying before I realized what it was. Fuck Ninja. |

Some guy on Inforoo is claiming he heard Riot is announcing tomorrow, Pitchfork on Monday and Lolla on Tuesday. He also says that ACL will round out the week with a Friday announcement. If true, we're about to have a lot to look forward to.
