VIP doesn't even include free drinks anymore Why would someone pay $1500 for that? It was $2200 in 2019. There's a lot of posturing assholes in this world You don't fly First Class because the seats are better; you fly First Class because it's not Coach. They could eliminate the VIP tickets, make the Lolla Lounges general admission, and increase ticket prices across the board so that their total profit was the same, and more people would be mad about it than happy.

All I know is that this shit better not make it take 2 hours to get inside the festival every day. I hope they have a good system for it. Either way, I'm not bringing a bag in 100% due to how much shorter the line is every time. If you're fully vaxxed they'll probably confirm that when you enter the first time (or maybe even in advance) and put a special wristband on you. I think they would have to be changed every day for the same reason the 21+ alcohol wristbands are changed every day. Once someone knows what they look like, it ain't hard to fake.

Bags are required to be clear this year...same size limit as before. So does this mean no CamelBacks? I missed 2019 so am not sure what the latest requirements were then and if they might have changed this year.

Empty reusable water bottles and hydration packs, and plastic or aluminum water bottles
this is under the allowed items.

I missed 2019 so am not sure what the latest requirements were then and if they might have changed this year. I usually buy 2 like 2/3L "bladders" and put them in my backpack and kinda make my own makeshift camelback. Sure you can do the same with a clear bag. I only have to fill up once a day it's great.

THANK GOD Why didn't you like filling up CamelBaks? I imagine they take longer to fill but those people probably aren't coming back either. I fill up right when I get to the fest and I'm good for the entire day.

I fill up right when I get to the fest and I'm good for the entire day. You have to stand there and make small talk with some tweens about whatever awful act they are waiting all day to see. Plus half of them don't know how to open or close those things properly and spill all over the place

If you have loose morals, the real pro tip is sneaking your drawstring bag in through the no bag line.

Have we ruled out Bad Bunny from headlining this? Because I'm absolutely expecting him to be headlining

Fascinated by how the daily COVID testing for unvaccinated attendees is going to work logistically. I have to imagine there will need to be a significant rapid testing operation near the gate, and probably a separate entrance/line as a result. If there's not, I can't imagine many attendees will be organized to get the test daily on their own. Thoughts and prayers to the med techs who are going to have to deal with drunk teens yelling "HURRY UP BRO, I'M MISSING JACK FUCKING HARLOW!" as they run their PCR test.
Also, Dr. Arwady indicated in her presser today that they will have more details on Lolla's requirements in early July. Sounds like they are working on some electronic verification for the vaccine, but that a card or copy/photo of it will probably suffice as well (which is why I think we're headed for some level of required registration/ID verification).

If you can't be bothered to get tested when they're saying it's a requirement if you're not vaccinated, then you don't deserve to be there.

What I wonder is how easy it is to get a daily rapid test in Chicago? I don't even think that's a thing here.

Its pretty easy but the rapid ones usually get back to you within a few hours. I dont know if it has gotten better. I got a rapid a few months ago before the vaccine was widely available.

If someone choses not to get vaccinated and then has an issue getting a rapid test in the city Lolla still had their money anyway.

Well, yes, but the point of it being designed like that is probably to annoy people to the point that they get vaccinated since getting vaccinated is free and way more convenient than getting tested four days in a row.

Passed the news along, the crew was slightly disappointed but at the end of the day all of us are more than OK with paying $60 for VIP front of stage access in Hammond.
