I would see giorgio moroder again, before I'd ever see limp bizkit for the first time. And I didn't even like Journey at all when I was growing up. And I don't like post malone right now. so it looks like the next chicago lollapalooza will be an easy pass for me and the better half. You might want to rethink this, Papa Roach is subbing for Boston on Thursday. Did I hear something about Mudvayne subbing for REO Speedwagon? |

REO Speedwagon was the first concert I ever went to. It was at Starlight Theater in KC. I was either 9 or 10, don't remember the exact year. My Mom took me. Good times.

Based on minimal research (beyond the semi-confirmed acts), here's my current brain dump that no one asked for:
Post Malone/Foo Fighters/Billie Eilish/The Killers
Journey/Dua Lipa/Tyler the Creator/The 1975
Foos vs. Tyler
Post vs. Journey
Billie vs. The 1975
The Killers vs. Dua Lipa
Post and Journey are both heavily rumored, so no further comment there.
No indication that The Killers are actually planning to tour the US this year, but they are one of those acts that always seems ready to step up to do a festival one off and they have a new LP dropping sometime soon (in addition to last year's record that they haven't gotten to tour). Their EU tour (if it happens) will be ending a few weeks prior to Lolla.
Billie feels like she's more than due for a top slot at Lolla, and we know she's in for LiB.
Foos were booked last year and are playing Roo and Osheaga. Seems like the easiest non-confirmed lock.
Dua was rumored to be on last year's bill, and Lolla falls comfortably before her European tour in the Fall.
I think The 1975's stock has dropped, but in an 8 act weird tour year headliner crop, they might still make the cut. Could also see them subbing for an act like The Killers or Dua. (EDIT: Forgot they pulled down their 2021 dates)
Tyler is active on the festival circuit and a Lolla favorite that's due for a bump.
Cardi B feels like she needs another record to fill out a proper headliner set, and is the most logical omission if they don't want to take all of Osheaga's headliners. Since they never announced last year's line-up, they also probably have a little more room than other festivals to move off Lizzo if they think that booking's a bit stale. Still, wouldn't be shocked to see her on there. Kendrick seems to have punted on 2021 after seeming inevitable last year.
Also would like to see one more rock band in the mix, but it's hard to imagine who that would be if Rage, RHCP, and other big acts are avoiding the road this year. Pearl Jam might be in play as they finish up an EU tour a few weeks prior, but they have a lot of postponed US dates to figure out too. (EDIT: lol, nevermind -- they just scrapped their 2021 EU tour and pushed to 2022).

Looks plausible outside of the 1975. They cancelled their tour and all of their 2021 festival slots. I also would be shocked if one of the headliners is not Lizzo, Cardi or Megan.
