at one point I had the life of pablo on shuffle as my alarm and one morning it was Silver Surfer Intermission and I thought that it was my voicemail and not my alarm so I turned it off and went back to bed.
was an hour late to work that day, have to do music now, don't trust myself to have it be people just talking.
Hi bosma I see you liking my post about the three hour guns and roses set. I haven’t forgotten about when you hated on guns and roses on this board, so I’m using this top of the page to put you on blast. Stop being a fake motherfucker. It’ll get you further in life in the long run.
It used to be the beginning of Jamie XX's "Good Times", but when I got a new phone I never changed it back. I just found the most relaxing alarm sound and use that.
Ayy I had that Jamie song has mine too. Feedback by Kanye was for quite a while and that was a good one to conquer the day. I had Circle the Drain before this but can't for the life of me remember what was before that. I think I had the 1975 It's Not Living If It's Not With You for a while and then I THINK.
Mine was like a Star Trek red alert sound or something equally annoying, but I think on this new phone, I just went with a relatively pleasing melody that came built in. It's not difficult for me to wake up generally.
krentist: "This fest suffers big time from "airline mentality" where they keep finding exciting new ways to make the experience progressively worse for the average attendee" krentist: "you don't live in the fucking sticks, who do you need to travel for on this lineup that you've never seen?" krentist: "As always this fest looks thin when spread out like this."
I don't respond to aural alarms. They just blend into my dreams.
Instead, I have a bed-shaking alarm. When it's time to get up, my mattress starts to pulse and vibrate. It's fucking impossible to sleep through that.
A friend of mine who is deaf from birth has one of these too and Ive been telling myself ever since I first visited her and heard about those types of alarms 15 years ago that I should really get one too. That or a light increasing one
Mine is the standard iPhone “radar” sound. I found several years ago that having a song as my alarm just makes me hate that song.
Exactly this. And that song was Wilco’s “I’m always in Love” if you’re wondering
I thought about this tonight because what the fuck else am I doing besides watching AEW on demand and in high school it was either XRT or Spike O'dell on WGN radio. To this day I chronically skim over news headlines in the morning, and to this day I am chronically depressed
