We have an open spot in a competitive 12-team dynasty league that's been going for seven years. If anyone is interested in joining, let me know.
(Ottoneu scoring, five minor leaguers drafted per team, online auction draft, $75 entry fee)

It is a bummer that I will most likely not get to boo this man in person one more time.

I've probably asked this before- anyone got any good baseball podcasts they listen to? 45 minutes is like my ideal podcast time, especially if it's a recurring thing. Right now I just listen to Dave Kaplan talk about the Cubs on the CSN podcasts since I am an old man.

Don't know of any podcasts, but I just found out T-Mobile is giving free MLB.TV again this year.

Not exclusively baseball but CC Sabathia's podcast R2C2 is really great too.

Effectively Wild runs way too long, and i end up skipping over so many topics each time i listen to it. but when it's engaging, i do find it very enjoyable.

Yeah I was looking at that and a 2 hour runtime is a lot to ask of anyone, especially me, man of no attention span

That’s probably fine. I can’t wait to see how expensive Cubs tickets will be given this and the fact that the team might be a real ass suck this year

At 8k per game I imagine all the tickets will go to season ticket holders for both teams. Hopefully they are able to expand capacity over the summer as more people get vaxxed. I'd really like to be able to go to a game this year.

I wonder how the ticket sales are going to play out. I know the Cubs STH base is much larger than 8k and I'm guessing the Sox is too. Do they give priority based on seniority? Or based on where your seats are located? The Blackhawks punted on getting STH tickets for this year (I know their season ends much earlier) and the best we can hope for if they allow fans is a presale when tickets go on sale.

Sox fans losing their minds on Twitter about not being able to tailgate. We're almost back to normal, folks.

Rockies will be allowing 43% of capacity to start the season, which seems like a lot!

Rangers are not limiting capacity because well... Texas this is wild. 2 exhibition games and opening day at full capacity, and social-distanced sections at other april games. yeah, i'm sure that'll work out.

Great piece on the Athletic about how much the Sox suck at developing velocity: Can we determine which teams are best and worst at developing fastball velocity?Small sample size, but Sox ranked dead last and are one of two teams in baseball whose pitchers actually lost velocity in their farm system. Some telling quotes too: "The White Sox, 'are the most old-school team in baseball,' leaving this scout equally unsurprised that they ranked at the bottom of the list."
"Multiple people mentioned the White Sox, Royals and Nationals as teams that have been the slowest to change their pitching development process"
