Look you can definitely argue it shouldn't win, but Insomnia has to at least be an option here

Yeah I feel like I haven’t seen half of these so I’m going with Genie by default here

I don't know, I feel this is underrated. I knew there was one I really liked that was missing from the options, I think this was it

Its portrayal of mental illness - conflating symptoms of PTSD and schizophrenia, curable by the "love of a good woman", romanticizing hallucinations, etc.

Its portrayal of mental illness - conflating symptoms of PTSD and schizophrenia, curable by the "love of a good woman", romanticizing hallucinations, etc. Definitely hear this. For some reason I was thinking of Jeff Bridges as the problematic role (which obviously he kind of is, but thats the point) and wasn't really thinking about that portrayal.

I know it's problematic but I saw it before I understood why it was problematic so fisher kingI think if we go back and look, we'll find lots and lots and lots of problems in favorites from previous decades. Like, The Birdcage is winning this...probably lots of problems there.

Admittedly, I haven't watched The Birdcage in years. I can't imagine a movie that is so old and about gay people not having any problems now, but I am willing to be wrong!
There are people, though, who think Boys Don't Cry is very problematic, so I don't always know what to think.
