they were also rolled and stacked in piles in the merch shop. when staff ran out at the doors, i tried to exit through the store and watched people take armfuls and run. i remember not being as mad as i couldve been because i had caught a stick from taylor hawkins after the show, but i ended up giving that away

I went to see an STP show back in 2000 at the Riv, and it was back when they were still a very very good live band and back when I was a huge fan, so I got there early and got a great spot up front. Anyway, at the end of the show, Weiland threw a towel into the crowd and I caught it. I had no idea what the hell I was going to do with a towel that Scott Weiland had wiped his face on, but I ended up holding onto it. I wrapped it in some plastic wrap and tucked it in my closet when I got back home that night. The next day my mom washed it.
I guess it would have been tough to explain hanging onto that for all of these years, but it honestly would have been a cool story.

At one point I had used harmonicas that were handed to me when I was in the front for Soul Asylum (Dave Pirner) and either Slobberbone or The Drams (Brent Best). Kinda gross.

The poster for the first show my wife and I went to together (Yo La Tengo, Trocadero, February 2007) was sold out by the time we got to the merch table that night. I bought it several years later. I think I spent a little over $100. Pic of it pulled from google:

I own the shirt Danger Mouse wore during the Live from Abbey Road recording session Gnarls Barkley did. It is essentially priceless (and no I won't wear it this year at Lolla)
