I paid $350 for a true original press of the first Stooges album and I would like to know how much money you've spent on other music things in the past and what they are

I really can't think of anything over the top I've ever bought for music memorabilia. Just the usual shirts and cds and some vinyl and posters, but nothing super rare at all, so less than $100 for me

Outside of some used vinyl I've found at record stores I haven't really gone out of my way to buy any music memorabilia.

I do have an original pressing of the soundtrack from the first season of Sesame Street that I bought for my daughter, so I guess that's something. It wasn't expensive, though.

I spent just shy of $200 on this poster: Don't regret it one bit and could probably get close to 5X that for it if I decided to sell at this point. PJ fans are out of their minds.

Nothing much. Around '96-'97 I bought R.E.M.'s The Automatic Box for $50 new b/c I thought it was rare, not sure what it would go for now.
I also spent too much money on bootleg CD's of live and rare recordings around this time, sometimes up to $45 for a 2-CD set of an average-sounding soundboard recording of a live show. I sold a lot of those back though.
The only two I kept was a Pearl Jam show when they toured for No Code (radio broadcast), and a pre-The Masterplan Oasis b-sides set.

I have a copy of Blond from the 24 hours it was on sale that I paid $50 for with shipping. It’s in like new quality, I’ve really barely played it because I’m scared to fuck it up. It would easily go for $500, I’ve seen them go for upwards of $1000 used. I also have Endless but that goes for less. I have a couple OOP Dead box sets on both CD and vinyl that fetch an unreasonable amount of money as well, specifically the 5/8/77 vinyl that is not particularly convenient to listen to and the Giants stadium box set. The only thing I feel vaguely guilty about is the new in plastic copy of Taylor Swift’s Fearless I bought on RSD several years ago. I had no intention of listening to it and knew I was just going to flip it eventually. It’s on gold vinyl and according to every review sounds like absolute dog shit but it gains significant value every year, especially after she re-recorded it.

I participated in a Go Fund Me project for a coffee table book: Pixies: Volume I: a Visual History. Part of the appeal was getting my name mentioned in the acknowledgements. Looks like it sells for about $70.
We also have an autographed copy of Ray Davies' autobiography X-Ray that sells for about $90 - $100. Mrs ten15 got it signed at a performance Ray did at the Apollo Theater.

During RSD 2017, while waiting in line at Reckless on Milwaukee (got there at 11:30 the night before and was 4th in line), Macca tweeted out these would be at random shops around the country. Went up to the counter and asked if they had one? One of the employees came out and said “if I ever see one of these on eBay from the Chicago area, I’ll know who’s it was.” Handed it to me for free (it was suggested that stores sell them for $9.99). It now goes for upwards $1500+. www.discogs.com/release/6914629-PM-Sweet-Thrash

I think I've gotten rid of the things I've had that might be worth some money. Like, I used to have a copy of Little Earthquakes signed by Tori Amos that I sold. I had a test pressing of The Downward Spiral that I also sold, but that's probably not all that expensive.
I think I still have my Angel single that Ten Club sent out way back in the olden days, but I'm not sure how much people pay for those.

I've got that Bright Eyes vinyl box set from a few years ago. I got it as a gift and don't know how much that cost. It looks like there's a reseller offering it on Amazon for $600.

It was about $150 when it came out, and has since gone out of print now that they are doing new reissues. $300 seems to be about the best price for a new copy on discogs rn. It's fun looking at what items in your collection sell for on discogs. A Beatles mono box set that I got from an accidental deal on Canadian amazon for $95 now sells for a median price of $1400. The Phoebe Bridgers Killer EP 7" is being sold for $200 😵

Another one : Prince's Crystal Ball, a 4-CD set that I paid $50 around when it came out. Those go for around $80 on Discogs, so maybe that's the most $$ piece of music memorabilia I own.

just now looked up a couple of LPs I've owned for a long time. pousette dart band's amnesia on discogs for $5-15, for something that isn't very good except for the title track which should have been bigger than albums from the less talented eagles. there are a lot of different versions of double dee and steinski's payoff mix, and it seems like the median price on discogs is around $60 for all 3 albums, which I have. clouddead, if you want 'em for nothing, they're yours the next time I see you, as they're not really in my musical wheelhouse. this is an explanation of what double dee and steinski were up to, back in the day: www.allmusic.com/artist/double-dee-steinski-mn0001275845

other music things I have at home, off the top of my head:
no doubt poster, unframed, signed by gwen and two of the other 3 no doubters.
framed steve goodman at graham chapel 1979 poster with ironic headline of "fresh, funny and alive"
if it hasn't been thrown away, an artsy poster of wendy james from transvision vamp, grabbing her crotch. they were pretty great at cabaret metro, but faded away quickly as a band.
a cigarbox guitar that I don't yet know how to play, that the better half got on sale for $20, and now sells for $60.
various wxrt promo cd's from throughout the years.

I just got home and realized I have the Jim James signed YES WE CAN show for the Schubas show that never happened because he fell off the stage at another show. I think it was $100 to the Obama Victory Fund for the poster/ticket. Anyway, it's framed on my wall, which is why I realized I have it.

Over the years I’ve blown tons of money on musical equipment and concert tickets, but nothing remotely pricy when it comes to memorabilia. Which, now that I think about it, kinda doesn’t check out.

the most i have ever paid for something: $100 for the poster from the foo fighters "first" metro underplay in 2011, the lollapalooza aftershow. the poster was free for anyone who got in, and people were grabbing tons of them on their way out and sold them for hundreds right outside the building on clark. i was pissed; i thought the poster was really cool. i found one on ebay just shy of $100 and pulled the trigger, no regrets. the stupidest thing i've ever done for something: waited almost 12 hours in line outside wrigley field the day before pearl jam's first show there, just to buy a t shirt and poster. they weren't necessarily expensive but i hated the experience and did it because a friend really wanted to. i sold the poster a few years ago for roughly $700. the actual most personally valuable things i have: one of billy corgan's guitar picks that my brother caught mid-air and gave to me when we saw the pumpkins together. gig posters signed by foo fighters, chvrches, kacey musgraves, several smaller bands i worked with in chicago. my kii arens coachella '13 poster.
