Yeah I kinda don’t get why people are panning Saturday? Like bauhaus and sunny day real estate are playing?

Daaamn - there's a lot of bands here that I'd love to see, but I need a little more nudging before traveling for this, especially at that price tag. So! The 80s-90s punk that this fest thrives on is a bit of a blind spot for me. Can y'all indulge me in a game of "Is This Band Good?" - and if you say yes, I'll listen to them: -- Yellowcard -- Sunny Day Real Estate These are the ones I care about most in your list. Yellowcard is straight up pop punk, but they have a ton of great songs. You've most likely heard "Ocean Avenue" several times whether you intended to or not. SDRE made an incredibly influential album, Diary, in the 90's that was a cornerstone for most screamo that came after them. Not much that they did after that was too great, they split up after the album following that. But if they do a Diary set, it will be great.

I like that Sunday is a little lighter for me on the bottom lines. Wouldn't mind being able to roll in late for Linda Lindas since I'll have 2 very full days on Friday and Saturday + Roxy Music on Monday

i feel like they should have put some of the good bands that i like from sunday onto different days
friday is notably weaker than saturday to me…which is maybe just the universe telling me to camp out for a prime position at mcr…

Really thought Soul Glo was going to be on this since they are touring at that time with no Chicago date. Maybe they are one of the ads coming. Riot Fest is terrible at booking hardcore (yes I know Madball is on this lineup but still). I could see Soul Glo playing the Rumble in August. They have Pickathon that same weekend.

I had an ex tell me that Ryan Key is a real asshole but also ocean Avenue was a very important album for me as a kid. Also also I’m pretty sure you and Greg roasted my ass for admitting that back in the day

Did a quick count and give or take an act there's the same amount of bands on the lineup compared to last years. So I wouldn't expect additions.

I actually bought presale for this but if I go to TANP that would make this the fourth festival this year which is pushing it. Plus I didn't think to book a hotel early and now prices suck. But I really want to see YYYs at some point.

This song is good 2. It's gonna be real annoying to be in crowd of dudes losing their shit about how "this song changed my life" 3. This song may not be good enough to put up with that
