Did a quick count and give or take an act there's the same amount of bands on the lineup compared to last years. So I wouldn't expect additions. do we think TBS and AWK are just not on the lineup this year? |

every time madball [ny hardcore band] appears on a lineup, I always have look up motorhead's opener at the vic, and find it was speedball [now defunct detroit 1990's punk band].
I've been waiting awhile to see foxy shazam, bauhaus, sdre, bully, yyys, and jawbox, and I had forgotten who placebo was, so this lineup is more than fine for me.

Daaamn - there's a lot of bands here that I'd love to see, but I need a little more nudging before traveling for this, especially at that price tag. So! The 80s-90s punk that this fest thrives on is a bit of a blind spot for me. Can y'all indulge me in a game of "Is This Band Good?" - and if you say yes, I'll listen to them: -- Descendants: listen to Milo Goes to College -- Rocket From The Crypt: listen to Hot Charity or Scream, Dracula, Scream. -- The Wonder Years -- Yellowcard -- Sunny Day Real Estate: listen to Diary -- Bad Religion: um... they're good. i can't think of a standout album, but maybe the All Ages compilation? -- The Academy Is -- Jawbox: listen to For Your Own Special Sweetheart notes added for the ones i know. and those selections are very likely what they'll mostly play a lot from too. Unfortunately, SDRE and Bad Religion weren't really my thing. But Rocket From The Crypt? Hell yes, this rules. |

notes added for the ones i know. and those selections are very likely what they'll mostly play a lot from too. Unfortunately, SDRE and Bad Religion weren't really my thing. But Rocket From The Crypt? Hell yes, this rules. neat. if SDS or Hot Charity are your thing, Circa Now or Group Sounds are probably the next stops. and i find them to still be a very entertaining live band. but i'm really hoping for them to get an aftershow. |

Was busy yesterday when this lineup came out, but just wanted to drop in to say this lineup rules. I really appreciate the team at Riot Fest continuing to book lineups specifically for my taste each and every year.

Last year we got tons of free tickets for Thursday, Friday and Sunday (Do312 More gave me a pair for each day). I'm guessing it will be the same, but Friday probably will not be available |
