Huh?
Last Wrestlemania Reigns defeated The Undertaker. Prior to that, WWE was planning on Cena Vs Undertaker.

Anyone watch War Games last night? I'm about halfway through now... what a fun 4-way for the Women's Title.

War Games was pretty fun. Survivor Series just seemed very predictable and I don't recall seeing any moves that haven't been done a million times before.
My biggest beef would be the three wrestlers who are set for HUGE pushes were eliminated 1/2/3 from the final match (Balor, Nakamura, Roode) leaving Angle, Triple H, Orton, Cena and McMahon left (and later, a returning Strowman). How does this push anything forward besides an inevitable and boring match between Trips and Angle?
And regarding Strowman....is it mandated that he has to be 'removed' from every match he's in only to return later? IIRC every single non-singles match he's been in, this has been the case.

yeah we caught nxt cause weather saturday was disgusting and it was a damn good show.
SS was fine. nothing really amazing but i was never annoyed or bored like other ppv's. they kept the pace up with decent matches most of the night.
relegating the Owens/Zayn/Shane feud to the preshow, likely as punishment for the issues in europe, was fucking dumb though. that might be the most interesting story arc lately.

They should really consider moving the NXT Takeover events to weekends when there isn't a major PPV. I'm pretty sure that even the worst match on War Games was better than the best match on Survivor Series (whatever you'd consider that to be?). It just makes the main card PPVs look weak and boring in comparison. Maybe it'll be better when Lesnar is finally done, but for now, it's tough to get excited for these shows when you know the main events are going to be shit. Also, I'm pretty sure Lesnar doesn't even work out anymore. Looking really sloppy physically is one thing, but then he struggled to catch a cruiserweight last night.
Are we sure we're getting HHH/Angle? Because the way that show ended, I figured we'd be getting Braun vs. HHH. It might be at least somewhat interesting to see how everything shakes out between HHH/Braun/Angle/Jordan.

irt the shane vs owens/zayn...I read a comment just now and it made me laugh "Shane takes out Owens and Zayn by himself. Yes, the very same Shane that needed nine people to help him defeat X-Pac"
The more I think about it, the more I hate the hell out of the main event. It did NOTHING to move along the careers of the most important (and by important I mean full timers) wrestlers on the roster.

It's definitely leading to a tag match between Zayn/Owens and Shane/Bryan, right? Supposedly Bryan has been working to get cleared to return to the ring and sometimes they're more lenient on old/injured guys returning for tag matches. He can just get his signature moves in for a cheap pop and let Shane take most of the punishment.

Also, it's rumored to be HHH vs Angle at Rumble and HHH vs Strowman at Mania.

It was really nice to see Paige again on Monday. Hopefully she's got her shit together because the ladies division is getting pretty stale and could use a shakeup.

She dumped Alberto so that's definitely a step in the right direction.

Starrcade has been pretty cool so far. Roode vs. Ziegler has easily been the best match of the night so far. Intermission right now to set up the steel cage. Really hope they don’t randomly put the belt on Jinder here tonight because the India tour is finally coming up

Names being discussed for the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class:
Goldberg Bam Bam Bigelow Dudley Boyz Ivory Kid Rock
Supposedly, Batista was going to be the headliner this year but he's still open to the idea of another 6-12 month run so they're holding off on that for now.
Goldberg, Bam Bam and the Dudleys are no-brainers, but I feel like there are way better choices still out there for females (i.e. Victoria). And Chyna, obviously, but I understand them wanting to put some time between her death and induction.
I still don't understand why they haven't capitalized on the idea of inducting Lemmy/Motorhead. They'd get a ton of mainstream press and praise, especially from the metal/rock community and it'd be a nice gesture since the Rock and Roll hall is such a joke.

I almost forgot how joyful WWE can be. I'm not even a big fan of Shinsuke, but that was awesome seeing him win (and not Roman or Cena). Solid Rumble, though I was pretty much sound asleep by the time the tag match started.
Takeover predictably was also a great show, that main event was fantastic.

Word is they're holding off putting Rousey in a match until Mania, so I'm curious to see how they justify sticking Rousey into one of the title matches at Mania without making her earn one of the title shots. Good news is that her contract is a full-time deal (i.e. not a Lesnar part-time thing), so she'll eventually be doing house shows and all of that.
I know Rousey is rumored to be facing Charlotte at Mania, but I actually think Bliss would be a better choice. Have Asuka jump to SD to challenge Charlotte for the dream match we never saw in NXT, while Rousey establishes herself as an ass-kicker against Bliss. Rousey looks small compared to Charlotte anyway, and Bliss is such a great heel that gives her a better chance to get over.

Nevermind. Apparently the plan for Rousey is to team with Strowman against HHH and Steph. I don't hate it.

I mean it's kinda dumb because she already has the UFC pedigree and you can already tell who's gonna win that one just by the nature of the people involved. It would make more sense for her to challenge someone for a belt (Charlotte) but hey I'm not writing or watching this thing so who knows

That being said Rey needs to be doing more things and I'd like to thank whomever the powers that be are for not having Roman/Cena win the rumble

im just annoyed that her appearance overshadowed asuka's win and it looks like they're not really even gonna feud or do anything with each other
but if that means asuka gets a title shot and rousey is just a flash-match for the mcmahon's and to get mma viewers, whatever. might be dumb fun.

I just think it makes sense from a standpoint of helping her get over. She'd be teaming with the hottest face they have right now, so he'd ideally be able give her some of that rub.
And yeah, Rey looked great last night. So much quicker than his last WWE run. He must've lost 20 points or so, and I'm so glad he's back to the tights instead of those baggy pants he used to wear to hide his knee braces and/or love handles.

Even though Roman for sure is winning Sunday, the opening of Raw(lins) was a two-hour gauntlet match where Seth was well showcased.

so assume that WWE is keeping the title on the Part Time superstar to break CM Punk's title reign record, who do you book to beat Brock Lesnar at Money in the Bank in June?
PS Brock would officially break the record at Monday Night Raw on June 11th and Money in the Bank is in Chicago this year

I can't imagine it'll be anyone other than Braun. Unless they really wanna piss everyone off and put it on Reigns

Assumed it was a foregone conclusion that Roman def. Brock at Mania I assumed so too, until someone brought up the streak on reddit now i'm thinking that they want someone to beat Punk's record so provided that's the case, who would you give the belt to in June?
