I loved this mania. thankful for no Roman win. The Nak turn was great. Rousey was awesome. Taker squashed Cena. I had a good time. (Strowman thing was dumb though). I'm drunk, goodnight.

I don't feel any more rested having gone to bed 30 minutes earlier. Very intrigued by the Shinsuke turn; I've only seen him in WWE so that spark after the match in his character was exciting to see.
Pretty much was quite happy with the way the show went; if anything AJ/Shinsuke not gearing up completely and the turn sets up a spring feud nicely. Confused about why they kept the title on Brock and where that leaves Joe tonight (unless he goes after Seth).
What in the blue hell do they do with the RAW tag division? AOP crush Braun tonight?

I think he relinquishes them tonight. AoP enter a tourney to win them. The Lesnar win was dumb but I think only to fool the fans. However, as much as I can't stand him, Reigns is NOT a bad in ring performer. Last night showed how God awful Lesnar truly is. I wish he would just go away.

that was a mostly fun and well done mania. no crazy surprises and i dont love all the winners they picked but it mostly went over well and had some quality spots throughout.
lesnar/reigns was the only real terrible match which i think we all 100% expected

*Bummed that Asuka lost, but I can live with it *Loved the mixed tag and I'm real excited to Rousey's progress, unless she gets stuck in a perpetual battle with The Authority *Welcome back Daniel Bryan. See you on RAW, KO and Sami (both so good as antagonists) *Nia yelling "I love you" to Alexa was a nice touch *There's the worst and then there's Bork Lesnar. Take your money and never come back

Also, if they don't call up the Iconic Duo tonight or tomorrow, then I give up

Honestly I think my favorite match last night was Rousey's, despite her way overdoing the Piper thing. Angle looked good too, or at least as good as you can expect from him at this point. Also if I never saw Dana White again I'd be ok with that.
Strowman's thing was so dumb. I can't believe they did that. It was like watching Heidenreich except instead of friends he was looking for terrified 10 year olds. Jesus.

I just cannot believe they're sticking with Brock. My dislike for him isn't the usual WWE style where I don't like their angle, get up, style, etc. I don't like lesnar because he's part time at best, stiff as fuck in the ring (which puts all opponents at risk) and legit doesn't give two fucks. Why stick with that? Wouldn't anyone at all be better?
You've got a cluster of talent right now with nowhere to go yet we see the same 3-4 people always up for the Raw strap.

i think if they had put it second or 3rd to last match of the night, lesnar/reigns would've still been predictable but not as much of a bummer. im very very sick of PPV's ending with one or both of those guys just staring blankly at the floor as the entire crowd boos.
also the blood thing was dumb. was clearly a capsule (maybe a blade but i have a hard time believing mcmahon is cool with that anymore) and added nothing to the action.

Pro Wrestling Sheet has confirmed with multiple sources that Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon got into a real-life verbal altercation after WrestleMania 34.
Details are still scarce, but we’re told Lesnar was livid when he returned to the backstage gorilla position and went off on the WWE Chairman … who was not happy about it.
Sources tell us the brief, but heated incident ended with Brock throwing the Universal Title belt — some say at Vince, some say at a wall — then walking away. No word yet on what set him off.
We’re told there’s a belief that Brock may have gone off script a little bit near the end of the match, but we’ve been unable to confirm if this is true.

if it's the blood capsule thing, i definitely believe that was brock's doing because he did a whole "taking the gloves off" thing right before.
but it might also just be about how shitty the match was.

It was definitely a blade job, I just couldn't really tell when he did it. But there was way too much blood for it to be a capsule and you could legit see it gushing from the cut on his hairline at one point. I guess there's a chance it might've even been a hard way?
I'd assume the Lesnar/Vince thing has to do with the blood. Maybe Brock and Roman went into business for themselves on that one?
Either way, my boredom/exhaustion with Brock isn't that he's bad in the ring. He's fully capable of putting on a good match. He's just lazy. Ambrose covered this a while back when talking about how disappointing their Mania match was a few years back. And I'm not even typically a "body guy" and couldn't care less about a guy's physique. But it doesn't even look like Brock works out anymore. In addition to his increasingly sloppy physique, some of those suplexes last night were incredibly weak looking and looked as if Brock had a hard time throwing Roman like he used to. The last time he had the type of physique you'd expect a guy with his character to have was probably his last UFC match (you know, the one where he tested positive for PEDs).

If you punch the forehead the right way, you can cut a person's forehead for sure. And we all know how much the head can bleed. My guess is the blood was accidental just as it was for Orton. Vince doesn't want blood anymore and for now two matches to get that bloody has to have Vince fuming. Oh, and Lesnar was likely pissed for the "this is awful" chants and he likely as a result went in harder than what was scripted.
Hell this was Orton's shoot after his match with Lesnar:
"We say this a lot in the back when someone gets hit harder than intended, we knew what we were signing up for. It’s a rough sport. It’s a rough business and very physical. A few more people need to respect how things can go sour out there."
That reads to me that yeah, it was supposed to be some spots but not THAT rough.

In kayfabe, why does Roman get another shot? He lost clean in the middle of the ring. Moreover, why the steel cage stipulation? That stipulation should really only be used as a feud blow-off when the previous matches have been marred by outside interference.

Apparently Brock's new deal is multi-year... whatever.
Anyways, forgot about Lashley being in-play for a return.
Guessing AOP goes after Braun, Joe attacks Seth and/or Finn, and... still not sure where Lashley fits in to the title picture if Roman's still in there for a few weeks. There sure is a boatload of pressure for Raw After Mania to deliver, but maybe this year just doesn't have that HUGE moment.

I doubt they push Lashley into the title picture right away. Pretty sure he was only ever the ECW Champion during his first run, which was basically a glorified mid-card title at that point.
Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they had him in NXT to start. It's not like he is much bigger than a McIntyre-level star anyway.

Superstar Shakeup next Monday. Now that they've introduced the NA Title in NXT they almost need more bodies there to populate the two divisions, which would work for Lashley.

Totally forgot about No Way Jose. Trending to 4 debuting units (for over/under sake, AOP is 1).
Also that segment with Braun, Nicholas, and Kurt makes up for the tired disappointment I felt last night.

sami v Kevin for a contract is kinda dumb cause they know they can't split them up so it's just gonna get dragged into another several months of feuding for a second contract
