I feel like I was watching a different Bruno set than the rest of you. The highs were very high but the set included starting 10 minutes late, a drum solo, a keyboard solo, and jamming out songs much much longer than necessary. I feel like he missed an opportunity to just put the pedal down and rip through hit after hit. Well he is actually singing and dancing and the whole backup band is doing the same so the interludes were to give peeps their shot. And besides Grenade, what hit did he miss? Maybe Gorilla? |

St. Vincent into Vampire Weekend has gotta be one of my favorite back to back sets at this fest. That was fucking great. VW jamming was wild and also not expected. I had a lot of fun with everyone and it was cool to be so close. The new lineup sounds great though there was the occasional vocal hiccup. It wasn’t enough to be bothersome but I did notice it once or twice. Still, enjoyed everything about that set and I’m glad I found more board folks on my way out during the encore.

Bomba > Lil Pump debacle > LL > Tank at Bud Light Dive Bar > Daniel Caesar > St. Vincent > VW was a relentlessly fun day. Would be interested in ripping the audio from the live stream video of Obvious Bicycle / Son of a Preacher Man / Hannah Hunt, that was nuts.

Squirt Boy is at St Vincent!!!!!! i saw Squirt Boy at Wallows this morning, knew I was going to have a #Blessed day as for tomorrow, gonna try and take it easy again superorganism -> rex orange county -> the vaccines -> knox fortune -> gucci mane -> cigarettes after sex -> lil uzi vert -> ODESZA nap time and maybe an early train home? but this could easily change tomorrow morning, or at the festival |

i for one really enjoyed the LL Cool J set. legit better than i expected CRJ was cool but im not really a big fan or anything so aside from the obvious hit i was just kinda along for the ride but she sounded good St Vincent fucking rules every time. fucking slayed everything. weird that she ended 5 minutes early without doing "Birth in Reverse" or "Cruel" tho Vampire Weekend was weird but in a good way. kinda already been discussed but the band themselves sounded great. PA fucked up a lot tho -- which has become an annoying trend at festivals and is pissing me off. idk how i feel about VW jamming and doing some dadrock covers. it was funny at first but by the end it felt like those Foo Fighters jams that dont add to the song and are just ways to burn time without playing more songs. guess they just need to be given 2 hours from now on  really dance party and pseudo mosh with the whole group! |

before vampire weekend started, my friend told me that she was going to leave after vampire weekend played A-Punk... because they had been doing it in the middle of their set
so she was thrilled when they played it three times to open their set, and we left during obvious bicycle at 9:40... which worked out because the train left 25 minutes early because it was "full" and they weren't letting people stand or sit in the aisles last night for some reason
