I feel like pitchfork has gone all in on entertaining gen z at this point, along with the fest too You’d think David Byrne would get a 7 but what do I know I just listened to the album a lot

I'm more disappointed by the double 7.3's for Haley Heynderickx and Kraus albums.

I was bored (Fridays usually are) and listening to Monomania and decided to check who has had the most BNM'd albums in a row (excluding EPs)
Deerhunter - 6 (b/c you should count Microcastle and Weird Era as separate albums) Sufjan Stevens - 5 (not counting his outtake albums, or his Christmas album)
Several others like Beach House, Kanye, Animal Collective, Ariel Pink, Arcade Fire, LCD, and a slew of others have 4 in a row.
If not for 808s, Kanye would have 7 in a row. 8 in a row if they had given it a BNM.
This just proves that Deerhunter is the best band ever. You're welcome.

Anco down, BH down, AF down.
Kendrick's got 4 if you count Unmastered, though I wouldn't. I was counting Watch The Throne, so if Yeezy's next one gets a BNM, he'll be at 5 in a row. I can't think of any other artists that are actually approaching that lengthy of a streak. Unfortunately, I don't think Deerhunter will get another BNM.

Unfortunately, I don't think Deerhunter will get another BNM. What if they start rapping? Win Butler tried it on Signs of Life and it didn't work

Surprised Preoccupations was reviewed today and not next week sometime, and also surprised it got a decent score. That means tomorrow...
Jack White - 5.6

Hmmm. That Little Room link makes me feel like they read the Stereogum review as they were writing theirs.
