I really didn't expect Tove Lo to expose the crowd (apparently this isn't the first time) yesterday so that was interesting to see on the big screens. I'm guessing RedBull TV didn't have time to censor it either.

I still stand by Creature Comfort being one of the best songs in their new set They toned it down on record a la "Here Comes the Night Time", but it rips live.

Essentially the same set as 2015. Honestly, she should drop "I Love It" and "Fancy" from her setlist.

not gonna do superlatives cause i was only there for 3 hours on sunday. but the bathrooms are a wonderful change (didnt see these supposed troughs but i'm sure they were fine)
wish they'd go back to box water and not cans
"craft" beer selection was a bit better than last year but anything remotely interesting was gone by sunday evening
roller skating thing was kind of a cool idea but i also feel like is asking for a ton of injuries and medical staff are busy enough as is
sampha was great. i dont think i cared about big sean. grouplove was atrocious. arcade fire was better than i ever expected at this point in their career.
aftershows was the way to go this year. DRA was probably still my favorite but 4 hours of foos was crazy. spoon and kaleo both killed it as well.

Lolla should promote the upgraded toilets with the hashtag #VIpee -- somebody get me C3 on the phone. I've got contacts, and will pass this along (for real). Hope you've trademarked it so you can make some money.

It's actually so impressive how well done everything was this year. I had no lines for anything.. The layout was perfect, the bathrooms were perfect, the sound was so much better than last year, the big screens were dope.
Even if it wasn't the most impressive line up, Lolla put on a great festival with some wonderful improvements.
I'll be back again next year, unless the line up is somehow worse.

I got a good laugh with the email Lolla sent out saying Platinum and VIP tix for 2018 are on sale now. I forgot to mention the real "worst change to the festival" were the new platinum viewing areas which took up a huge part of the pits and were not even half full!!

I curious how much money C3 lost not getting corporate sponsors for the Lakeshore and Grant Park stages.

I'd agree that all things considered the fest seems to get more well run every year. In today's #MAGA climate with security acrimony it's pretty commendable to run a 4-day 100k-per-day fest as smoothly as they do.

Lolla seems like too much of a well oiled machine to bank on the instability related to booking Kanye as a #1 overall headliner at this point

Will Arctic Monkeys be big enough post-"hiatus" to be the biggest rock headliner in 2018?

Will Arctic Monkeys be big enough post-"hiatus" to be the biggest rock headliner in 2018? Vampire Weekend would be billed ahead of them I think

And because that would work out best for me in a world where I went back to this festival, even though I would also love to see Vampire Weekend (but could see them on a tour). Those headliners (being able to see any four of Foos/Kanye/Kendrick/Gorillaz/Vampire) and a decent undercard would prob get me to Chicago. That'd be amazing. And thus it won't happen.
