Thank you both. That was what I wanted to reply with. Disappointed I didn't get to do it but happy to help out the cause

If they do the full reunion again I would have some interest but probably not at what it will cost.

I've never seen Kiss and despite Gene being Gene they are definitely on my bucket list.
The main reason I haven't seen them is that they only play Tinley (and I guess Open Air but same difference). If they play Tinley again I'm still not gonna go. Play the UC and I'm there.

I'm sure that Gene and Paul will find some new angle to charge exorbitant prices for this, but they've never let me down performance-wise. Like the true carny performers they are - they would never ever half-ass it.
Love Kiss. Always have always will.

I saw them come out on a farting spider at that show at Tinley a couple of years ago. That's enough for me.

Saw the OG lineup in 96 during the original reunion. That was probably enough for me but we'll see.
Will def be tough to win tickets to that one without the Loop. RIP.

kiss was my first show when i was 9 - 1977 alive II tour. saw em again in 83 on creatures of the night with vinnie vincent and eric carr, then on the reunion tour in 96. they'll always have a soft spot in my heart <3
i walked by the tv last night when they were finishing up on america's got talent and my wife was watching and she's never seen them and said that'd be a fun show to go to (she's never seen them). as long as paul stanley get some vocals help, maybe...

KISS was my first show as well. I was 12 and I think it was the Lick It Up tour? One of the first tours without makeup at least. I remember being so disappointed because Paul Stanley just bragged about his sexual escapades for half the show and they didn't play "Beth". Haven't seen them since.
EDIT: It was the Crazy Nights tour - 1987

Do they play Beth with Peter? I certainly hope not.

They don't. I didn't realize at the time it was his song.

The story I had always heard was that "Beth" was about Peter's son Ben but the band had him change it to Beth because singing a song about missing a man was too gay which was a wonderfully stereotypical Kiss story so I was bummed to find out that the actual story is that it was a song that someone else wrote in Peter's band before Kiss that he changed just enough so that he could get sole writing credit, ripping off the original songwriter completely and somehow being even more stereotypically Kiss.

Creatures of the Night is the best album.
Vinnie Vincent is the best musician who was in Kiss.
Alive! is probably the best album for a survey of their most notable work.

The Ace solo album when they did the 4 solo albums was stellar as well.
The fake Spaceman doing Shock Me is definitely the most offensive part of the current live Kiss shows but Gene and Paul have to eat I guess.

Alive! is probably the best album for a survey of their most notable work. i mean, opinions and all, but creatures... you're probably right about vinnie, though. i like everything equally from s/t up through love gun. i also really like carnival of souls, their grunge album. as far as compilations, can't go wrong with double platinum. ace frehley's solo album is fantastic... speaking of which, 2 days ago was the 40th anniversary of all the kiss solo albums!

There will be an indoor leg Is it going to be like the Motley Crue tour where it basically goes two years and the first year is sheds and the second year is arenas? Even Salt Lake got that tour twice (first at the shed, then at the basketball arena the following year). KISS only played about an hour the last time I saw them (on the tour with Def Lep a few years ago), so I really hope they'll do a longer show this time around.

Saw the OG lineup in 96 during the original reunion. That was probably enough for me but we'll see. saw this at the rosemizon, on the day the nixons opened, not the day the melvins opened. my seat was good, but didn't like the show at all.
did like the ace solo show when he played the cubby bear a couple of yrs before the reunion. would see that again.
have never had any kiss albums in the collection; like a couple of hits, but for hard rock, one can do better.

If its a 3yr long farewell tour, yeah I'm sure they'll run the gamut. They'll be on the road well before it's warm out, they'll probably have an entire leg wrapped up by summer so they can go back out and package up for the summer sheds.
