No billboards in Hoffman Estates yet Poplar Creek had better headliners than Coachella has had. in random order and different years, headliners I had seen at Poplar Creek: Diana Ross Elton John (Wet Wet Wet opening, but due to traffic, we got there too late to see them) Santana (Phish opening) Depeche Mode (Book of Love opening) Crosby, Stills, and Nash (Fabulous Thunderbirds opening) James Taylor Tracy Chapman (the late South African, Johnny Clegg and his band Savuka opening) Linda Ronstadt (w/ Aaron Neville) (The Neville Brothers opening) headliners who played Poplar Creek that I wished I had seen: [original quartet] Queen (Billy Squier opening) New Order (Sugarcubes and Public Image Ltd opening) Tangerine Dream (would have been an all time great show in the golden corridor) |

If Frank dropped off, this festival would have the worst record of booking names only for them to back out last minute. All while being the most recognizable festival in the country. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that today was the plan, but idk they did try to book Ye in 2021.
