I wouldn't be surprised if they say they've exhausted that side of themselves though. |

According to the band, this new album is influenced by New Order and Roxy Music. I thought Destroyer made a really great New Order album last year |

really like the electric guitar flourishes given to "distortion." guessing several of these are the songs we saw live at thalia. excited to hear how the album plays out with any other additional instrumentation. wonder what crow pt. 2 is like. |

Crow was the song written after the rest of the album and just after the election. Was more directly written to his daughter as opposed to the rest of a crow looked at me. Guessing this one will be something of an update?

This is basically a Lonely Island song. For those haven't listened the pop-song metaphor here is that they're living in The Walking Dead and he has 'supply-ay-ayes.' For what it is worth I read about a listening party he had and the whole album is like this and 'Filthy.' Maybe he's being next-level post-ironic about the woods? |
