Kyle Craft's new record is streaming on NPR. His last one, Dolls of Highland, was in my top 10 for 2016.

This is the first song he's released that wasn't butt. And it was pretty good before Chris came in. I wonder if he (Chris) will be at the stupid bowl

I like this one a lot. 3/3 on his tracks, I really didn't think Supplies was all that bad.

I assume you guys talked about the new Decemberists song ("Severed") already, but I am just hearing it for the first time now. This doesn't sound anything like the Decemberists, and I love it.

The most that I've liked James Blake in a long time.

The Jack White song sounds like a more natural progression from some of the weirder Icky Thump stuff than his other solo material. That will be very fun live.

Jack White song is awful. It’s just him yelping out “HAH!” While bongos are smacked in the background.

okay yeah that Jack song literally does nothing for 5 minutes.
"Respect Commander" was kinda cool but it all just sounds like he listened to "high ball stepper" from the last album on repeat and then tried to add lyrics.
back to the Sword.

Jack White discussed his upcoming album Boarding House Reach in a new interview with Rolling Stone. He revealed that one of its songs, “Over and Over and Over,” dates back 13 years. He says that he not only attempted to record it with his bands the White Stripes and the Raconteurs, but also during a scrapped collaborative project with JAY-Z. “It was sort of my white whale,” he said about the track. “I chased it and chased it, and finally, all of a sudden, it worked.” In 2014, White mentioned that he’d recorded several songs with JAY-Z that never saw the light of day: “I’m not sure he liked them.” Read the full interview at Rolling Stone.
Elsewhere in the conversation, White says that he recruited musicians for the new album whom he’d seen play with Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, JAY-Z, and more. He also talks about plans for his upcoming tour (which will be 100% “phone-free”) and his disdain for playing festivals.

Is that why he's on every other festival lineup this year?

He hates playing festivals but he loves money. The struggle is real.

According to their Facebook page, A Place to Bury Strangers have a "big" announcement to make on "Wednesday."
I added the quotes, not them.

Please add Tenkiller by Marie/Lepanto which was released on Friday, January 26. This one completely snuck up and took me by surprise - it's a collaboration between Will Johnson and Justin Peter Kinkel-Schuster. I'm enjoying it after my first couple of listens. They are opening a string of shows for Portugal the Man with more dates coming in April and beyond.

Yea, not necessarily anything wrong with this song, but not something we haven't heard from them ad nauseam before. Hoping for a few more upbeat jangly tunes on this record, a la "Central Park Blues"

That actually has me a little optimistic. His last two albums did a lot less for me, relatively speaking.
