I saw the first 35 or so minutes and the last 20 minutes of Foo Fighters and my opinion on them remains fully unchanged.
However, Sludgeworth ripped and played to a crowd of like 45 people and it seems like they knew most of them. Good fest day yesterday, excited for today

Very nice of Foo Fighters to play 0 songs off their new album and also include ‘White Limo’ White Limo was a nice surprise to a setlist that was too similar to the set they did at lollapalooza 2 years ago There's like 6-8 songs that are absolutely locked into their setlists, so if you see them 2 years apart (especially at festivals), you're guaranteed to get similar sets.

That's kind of my problem with them. They play a 20-22 song setlist and you are pretty much guaranteed to get: Everlong Best of You All My Life My Hero The Pretender Rope Times Like These Monkey Wrench Learn to Fly Breakout A cover, or a medley of covers If you get 'lucky' its them adding Generator, Aurora, or This is a Call. Then the rest is stuff from their new album, and two or three leftover singles from recent albums that aren't worth hearing. Their show just hasn't really changed at all in like 8-10 years at this point, all the way down to the exact jams they do during the songs. It's kind of tiring.

I hadn't seen Ani DiFranco since maybe 1998. I'm glad I watched her yesterday, though, because it reminded me of how great of a touring artist she is.

This is why I haven't seen them since their first Wrigley show in 2015. I'm a fan, but unless it's an underplay or some sort of other special show I'm not willing to pay to see them at this point.

Also the Malort shots are $11 each and they have a spritz this year, so I’m good with skipping that and sticking with Monaco and whatever the other options are the spritz is fire to be honest. you're gonna miss out if you don't try it

Holy shit these Gecs campers are insufferable Lmao why are people camping for like 6+ hours to see Gecs at a festival. They still play, like, GA theaters and stuff.

My biggest gripe of this fest after two days is the reduced port-a-potties on the Riot stage side of the park. Basically by 6pm, there has been long lines at those, so the best move has been to walk all the way over to the ones on the Roots stage side that have no line whatsoever.

Was planning to make a full day of it today since it's my only day of the fest, but I don't think this rain is going to let up before the Popes are supposed to hit the stage. 🫤

Between the weather and the traffic, this might just be a skip day. If not, it's an only show up for the headliner day.

I'll be there for sure whenever the rain lets up. Based on the current forecast starting with Cults or Black Angels seems possible.
