did you see sister hazel [yet again] this year, fivehole? They're playing Saturday night and a Sunday Brunch but the Mrs. and I can't make it. We did see them at Summerfest earlier this year though. |

Had to think about this a while because I initially had a few shows from last December on my list. In pretty much chronological order:
Drain/Pain of Truth/Ingrown @ Cobra Lounge
Drug Church/One Step Closer/Soul Blind/Lurk @ Beat Kitchen
Spy/Gel/MSPAINT @ Beat Kitchen
RATM/RTJ @ United Center
Turnstile @ Subterranean
Kendrick Lamar/Baby Keem @ United Center
Vein.fm/Candy/Regulate @ Subterranean
Fred Again.. @ Riviera
Honorable mentions go to Hot Chip @ Radius and Red Fang @ House of Vans, both great sets that didn't do anything new from the multiple times I've seen them before.
Best festival sets were Metallica @ Lolla and everyone who played at The Rumble.
The only truly bad sets I saw this year were Louis the Child @ Radius and a random band that was the first opener for Ceremony and Spy @ Schubas that I'm not even going to name here because it may very well have been their first show or set of shows.
