Only one I can think of is Nilufer Yanya @ Thalia Hall. Wasn't her fault but their drummer was out with Covid. Played the show anyway and it was super underwhelming.

Anyone have a Worst Show of 2022? Not sure if these qualify, but I walked out of Meredith Monk, and the Bill Frissell Trio at Big Ears. Boring. Annette Peacock and Kim Gordon were both kind of underwhelming there as well. |

Mdou Moctar show gave me covid so that is the worst
Koffee @ Coachella was the worst festival set, mainly because she didn't show for the first 20 minutes of her 35 minute set

Anyone have a Worst Show of 2022? Only one I can think of is Nilufer Yanya @ Thalia Hall. Wasn't her fault but their drummer was out with Covid. Played the show anyway and it was super underwhelming. Probably Kara-Lis Coverdale's opening set for Big Thief simply because the crowd was waaaay too talkative for her music (ambient-electronic sound collages). Like, yes, it was an odd choice for a huge theater tour, but folks were having full-volume conversations in the pit, like three rows from the front. A few days later Adrianne wrote her social media plea for their fans to stfu during the opening sets. |

Most disappointing were RAP Ferreira cuz he only got a 20 minute set and SVE at Salt Shed. Neither bad by any means, but I was really excited for both of those and was a bit let down.

Thankfully no terribly bad sets that I saw this year, but the "worst"/most disappointing:
Lucy Dacus at Thalia (I appreciate that she tried to do her tour while she was dealing with a slipped disc, but it was a let down with her just laying on the couch)
Rina Sawayama at Riv (99% because of the usual Riv issues. Pretty bad opening set by a DJ too)
Battles at Lincoln Hall (just nowhere near as interesting and exciting as they used to be)
Dessa at Beat Kitchen (she was on after Open Mike Eagle and there was no reason to stick around after a song or two)

Worst show of 2022: FestivalSleater-Kinney @ Riot Fest Was just thinking about how much I enjoyed this lol Ha, maybe it was just a down moment in the fest for me but it felt like they were just going through the motions. Janet Weiss not being there also probably made it feel a little unauthentic. |

I feel like that's the deal with the Dead right you get some really boring shows and some really great ones. This one was in the former category That's reasonable. Feel like I've lucked out with all the various Weir project shows I've seen so was curious. |
