Sans the pumas of it all Friday/Saturday are pretty good for my taste, I’ll probably have a good time even. Not certain I’ll attend Sunday Fwiw Sunday has the makings of a really nice Blue Stage lineup b/w Nala Sinephro, Hailu Mergia, Joanna Sternberg, Jessica Pratt, and maybe something a little more high energy like Model/Actriz. But pretty much all those folks would be much better served in a club setting, so idk.

I've only heard them from parking lots and they still just bring the fire!

Really would lIke to see Les Savy Fav in a club, but their RF set was fantastic, so will return to PF for the first time since 2017. Sounds like most of you won’t be there Sunday, though….

I'll be there...the only act on Sunday's lineup I've seen live before is MUNA, so it's gonna be a solid day for the trapper keeper. Actually, the most acts I've seen on any day of this festival is 2, so this lineup works out pretty well for me.

Saturday rules.
Alanis was great at ACL last year.
I guess no one here likes this fest anymore since you all love jam bands and country music now.
*** And F'n Bratmobile! Yes please

The comparison to last year is striking, which had bands like Big Thief, Alvvays, Snail Mail, Julia Jacklin, Hurray for the Riff Raff, etc

I mean it's true I only listen to country and jam bands now but also where is the #rare? This is just a bunch of touring acts we've all seen before.
I need my Pitchfork to embarrass me and make me feel out of touch.

Yes please Lmao I feel seen But yea I just looked at some recent lineups and this undercard is def the best they've had in years. But the headliners don't move the needle for me at all. Even if the subs were a bit more up my alley, I'd be interested, but that slice of indie-pop/disco doesn't sway me as much as it does for others here. If that's your thing, then this lineup looks MUCH better - especially Saturday. Should be a fun weekend, lots of good music. I think I'm just a little salty because I was low-key planning on making the trip this year, and I can't really justify it anymore.

I need my Pitchfork to embarrass me and make me feel out of touch. Bratmobile is a good pull, but otherwise yea that's about it. Unwound maybe if you didn't catch them on their reunion tour. Edit: Oh yea what Bosma said too. Keep forgetting Jai Paul's on this.

Jessie Ware is as well considering she only played a few shows in America on her tour last year and they sold out instantly.

Headliners are whatever. But I'd love to see Carly, Jessie, and Les Savy Fav. Would also check out Water From Your Eyes, Feeble Little Horse, Jai Paul, and Bratmobile. Model/Actriz and Wednesday are also ace live.
I'd totally go this year if I lived closer. Have fun folks.

you can't tell me this festival would look worse with Widespread Panic and Turnpike Troubadours headlining.

I'm definitely not much of a fan of them, but I would rather see jam bands or country music than ever bear witness to the blaring cacophony and middle school journal scribblings of Alanis Morissette. I would love to see Jessie Ware and WFYE and Model/Actriz, but I'm going to be out of town, and I've seen them all multiple times anyway. If they want 90s women rockers, I'd be down if they threw a bunch of money at The Cardigans to get back together.

you can't tell me this festival would look worse with Widespread Panic and Turnpike Troubadours headlining. That would perfectly encapsulate pitchfork.com in 2024. Jam band headliners + undercard full of music made for 16 year olds that 35 year old men listen to and teenagers ignore.

I was wondering why none of the 3 or so Billy Woods sets here over the last year were on the record with Kenny Segal. I don’t know if it counts as rare, but it’s a cool get.

Just checked, it was me, I don’t remember how I got the lineup that year. Did you end up graduating college? How’s life now? Thank you for asking — I graduated, got married, got an MSW, and have a 10 month old now. Life is busy and full. My online life is as Jam on the Collected Animals forum (pretty sure AVB is a regular over there too).
