Glad about Frankie Rose, hope she is the same day as Ted her set opening for alvvays was meh because she had a backing track that she quietly sang along to the whole time. fine for a free street fest i guess. |

She had a band last time she played the Bottle when the most recent one came out, that was pretty decent. probably the same thing. she had two guys doing, idk, some mix of synth/guitar/bass depending on the song. i just meant her vocals were overpowered by a backing track so it seemed like she was lip syncing. no live drums, which were also the backing track, was a bummer too. |

I really hope Wooden Shjips are on Friday or during the day Sunday. They have a show in OH on Friday and play the Bottle on Saturday so yeah they'll probably be subbing Sunday. |

it really always did seem insane that they would book these huge acts that nobody going to that would care about but they really didnt even try to stick the middle ground lol. Does it still charge 50 bucks to get in?

Remember Tonic? me and krentist saw Tonic b4 neil young a couple summers ago at summeriest it was really weird none of their other songs sound like "If You Can Only See" they are all just kind of like if modern day goo goo dolls had any semblance of integrity and class and than all of the sudden the growl comes in for "IFFFF YOU CAN ONLLLYY SEE THE WAY YOU LEFTTT ME" and its extremely lit |

I've seen many a washed up 90s band at Chicago (and Skokie) street fests, but Tonic are not in the TK. I'm not going out to Arlington Heights to make it happen so I guess I will wait until Roscoe Village Burger Fest or someone eventually books them.
