Was watching the 6am CBS local news and they did a quick story about Pitchfork confirming that "Pitchfork Music Festival will still happen in 2024 despite the music website being purchased by GQ"... while showing footage of concerts at Soldier Field in addition to using footage from PMF

I don’t suspect this news will have a major effect on this year’s festival, which I assume is mostly booked. I’m curious to see what it means in the long run for the site and festival. I lean toward not great in general, but I don’t know how noticeable the changes will be to the average reader.
Interestingly there have been no site updates since the news, including album reviews, which I assume were in the tank ready to go.

Agreed, I told my friend the same thing that this year is most likely in the books, but who knows what will happen next year. Can't wait til they try pivoting to video in a couple of months, I'd give the website just a couple more months of existence after that |
