Twenty One Pilots are doing a 'tour' of Columbus, playing increasingly larger venues across the city for five nights in a row. Tomorrow they're playing a 1,000-person club; my bus just passed and there is already a line....

I have a co-worker who used to live in Columbus and he pulls out his hipster card on a weekly basis saying stuff like "Oh I remember when I saw 21 Pilots in a random garage in Columbus."

Yeah before their music career really took off those two guys had to resort to breaking into garages and stealing car parts to pay for all their ski masks and hair dye.

For any of y'all with iPhone 7s, what do you do for listening in the car without the aux jack? I haven't looked yet, but is there a cheap lightning cable that plugs into the car's aux input?

I don't mind it at all. Figured I would, but we just keep one in the car and one in the house and haven't had any issues. Also most of the stuff we use in the house has Bluetooth functionality, so it hasn't really presented itself as a problem.

My problem is more on principle of trying to kill an open standard that I don't feel needs to die. I have a pair of wireless Beats I got for free so personally it won't be a big deal, but yeah, it's a whole rant. Kinda goes beyond any personal inconveniences.

As the owner of a shitty old banger early 00s retro classic, I use one of those plug in FM tuners.

My Lyft driver thought discussing his opinions of the Holocaust (hint: he doesn't believe it happened) was appropriate during the trip to the airport yesterday.

Yeah, you can specify why the rating is so low, which I did.
The ride was completely normal for the first 20 minutes other than him blasting reggae music. After that it's like how much do I engage this guy while I'm on an expressway heading to the airport.

pretty much exactly what you expect tbh.
RS doesn't know more than 10 metal bands for the top 50, and after that the writers probably asked their interns what a death or doom metal is and then googled top grossing bands in those genres.

i feel like metal is even more stuck in worshipping the classics than hip hop is, and so the list doesn't seem very surprising at all.
metal needs a vince staples to tell metal heads that sabbath is corny or something
