Portugal. The Man played the Portland march yesterday. I had no idea that was happening until after it happened, which is weird because I work only a couple of blocks away from where they played.

There's two cheaper little lots right across the street on Mannheim that is usually $10. At the car wash across rhe street from the arena. |

I feel like there were two or three people on the old board who cared about this topic - but today is the final day of the 2018 Candidates tournament in chess to see who challenges Magnus Carlsen for the world title later this year. There's an American who's a half point in the lead who might need to win today outright to clinch. Would be cool - tourney has been quality stuff throughout.

im already sending out emails to all the other engineers here about that (thanks dij, i hadnt seen the public version yet, just what their internally sharing with utilities) but if you guys wanna know the gross breakdown of it all, i can probably do a quick write up in a bit.
essentially it's motivated by the cost of restoration in each spot and what public areas will generate the most positive-mention regarding electoral candidates -- which also means whoever has the most money to incentivize the city to expedite the obscene permitting and approval process.

If anyone's awake and interested, I'm Dj-ing my last quarter of college radio tomorrow morning (and every Monday morning this spring) from 8-9am CST on 88.5FM, or at WHPK.org Got what I think is a pretty solid playlist pulled together, so check it out if ya feel like it. |
