Former "Silicon Valley" star Todd Joseph "T.J." Miller is facing a federal charge that he allegedly called in a fake bomb threat from an Amtrak train, officials said Tuesday.
Miller was arrested Monday night at LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York. The 36-year-old actor is accused of "intentionally conveying to law enforcement false information about an explosive device." He appeared before U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer in New Haven, Connecticut on Tuesday and was released on a $100,000 bond. The charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
According a Department of Justice press release, Miller called a 911 dispatcher in New Jersey on March 18 and reported that he was on Amtrak Train 2256 traveling from Washington, D.C., toward Penn Station in New York City with a female passenger, who, he said, had a "bomb in her bag." Amtrak officials stopped Train 2256 at Green's Farms Station in Westport, Connecticut. Passengers were told to detrain before bomb squad members boarded and searched the train. No evidence of any explosive device or materials was detected, officials said. An investigator then called Miller back, according to the DOJ press release, and he gave a different description of the woman.
Miller is alleged to have also claimed the woman "kept checking her bag without taking anything out; kept asking the first-class attendant what the next stop was, and seemed to want to get off the train and leave her bag behind." Miller was found to actually have been traveling on Amtrak Train 2258, not 2256, and that train was also searched and found to have no explosive device, according to authorities. DOJ officials added that Amtrak officers interviewed an attendant from the first-class car, where the actor had been sitting, and they were told Miller appeared to be intoxicated and had been involved "in hostile exchanges with a woman who was sitting in a different row from him in the first-class car."

My company books an artist for our annual meeting every year and usually it’s either bad (imagine dragons) or kinda cool and super fun(Christina Aguilera). This year, based on the clues they’ve given us, it’s fuckin Zac Brown band so I’m going to get absolute shithammered and then go and see how it is.

Last year there was a guessing game that involved various clues like a two truths and a lie situation. This year it was a bit lazier and they just gave a handful of clues and artists that they’ve been compared to (DMB and Jimmy Buffet lmao). However artist from Georgia that always wears a beenie is a pretty solid indicator. No, I do not work for live nation

Thirty-one percent of Americans, and 41 percent of millennials, believe that two million or fewer Jews were killed in the Holocaust; the actual number is around six million. Forty-one percent of Americans, and 66 percent of millennials, cannot say what Auschwitz was. Only 39 percent of Americans know that Hitler was democratically elected.

It will only get worse as the last remaining holocaust survivors die off.

No, I do not work for live nation I know you've told me where you work before but your company is buying a block of tickets right they aren't paying for a private Zac Brown Band show? Also Zac Brown Band is a very good live act despite their recent recording material being quite lacking. Great musicians with good taste in music who write mostly bad songs.

Extremely paying Zac Brown Band a million dollars when you could just pay Smash Mouth 25k and everyone would have the same amount of fun voice

Yeah they blow an assload of money on it and it’s always pretty wild to me. Seeing these people try to navigate corporate events is kinda hilarious to me. Especially because the requirements to have a spot on the GA floor is some insane standard that like 2% of the employees across the whole company qualify for so usually some olds are standing there really close pretending to like whatever is happening in front of them. It’s hilarious.
IRT the wild shit the company I work for does.
