My cab driver is playing the worst song I've ever heard. Looked it up and it's "Young Dumb and Broke" by Khalid

im sure that won't be nonstop posts about the bots getting all the tickets Good god there's a 4-hour survey to create an account I signed up under the veil of free concert tickets. I completed the initial survey, which probably took me about 15 minutes, and this morning my account has 10 points. 500 equals $5 Live Nation concert cash. At that rate it's not worth my time, but it looks like they've got plenty of people participating.

Just got an e-mail for an ad for Trina and Remy Ma at Wintrust Arena which got me thinking - why aren't we seeing anything decent getting booked there yet? There have been tons of shows but they're all really bad nostalgia hip hop and R&B tours, pretty much what you'd see at Arie Crowne in the past. Does Allstate have some sort of lockdown on the market that needs to roll off before things can get going there?

You should ask that question on the new Live Nation forum, I'd sure there'd be answers there!

Food deserts may not matter that much
Demand, not supply, looks like the key to healthier eating
"Using data about grocery purchases from 60,000 households and sales at 35,000 stores between 2004 and 2015, they first analysed what happens when new supermarkets open in poor areas. Then they looked at how poor households’ grocery shopping habits change when they move into neighbourhoods with healthier options. In both cases, they found little impact on the nutritional value of grocery purchases.
This raises an obvious question: what about plain old cost? The study finds that there is little price difference for categories other than fresh produce. Excluding fresh fruits and vegetables, the economists calculate that healthy foods such as plain yogurt and high-grain bread are actually 8% less expensive than unhealthy foods. The researchers conclude that preference, which is partly informed by education and nutritional knowledge, is a much more significant factor in how people decide what to buy at the grocery store."www.economist.com/news/united-states/21738426-demand-not-supply-looks-key-healthier-eating-food-deserts-may-not-matter

Cumulus Media has agreed to buy WKQX FM 101.1 from Merlin Media, securing the station’s future as an alternative rocker. The deal, announced late Tuesday, also includes the call letters of WLUP and that station’s intellectual property. Reported price was $18 million. Last month Merlin sold WLUP FM 97.9 to Educational Media Foundation, ending The Loop’s run operated by Cumulus under a local marketing agreement.
“I am truly pleased that we have reached an agreement to bring WKQX into the Cumulus family and fully focus on driving growth in the Chicago market,” Marv Nyren, vice president and market manager of Cumulus Chicago, said in a statement. “We have lots of great programming planned for WKQX and our other stations in the Chicago market, and we look forward to growing these legendary stations and providing great content to our listeners and effective marketing strategies for our advertisers in and around Chicago.”
Cumulus also owns news/talk WLS AM 890 and classic hits WLS FM 94.7. Insiders speculate that WLS FM morphs into “94.7 The Loop” (but management denies that). With the end of Merlin in Chicago, it’s so long to CEO Randy Michaels.
