Reading through his wiki page, he seems to be an interesting character (both autistic and schizophrenic) and I love how his son helps him with those fantastic book covers.
I don't want to be insensitive based on my limited familiarity, but I read the preview from Pokebutt Go and I was in hysterics. It doesn't seem to be very mature literature by any means, but maybe some folk take it quite seriously and I hope it's okay I feel this way. Don't laugh at me. Okay, you can laugh.

I assure you that the man named Dr. Chuck Tingle is merely another one of the stories by the mind behind the classic works of “Oppressed in the Butt by My Inclusive Holiday Coffee Cups”, “I’m Gay For My Living Billionaire Jet Plane”, and “Bigfoot Settlers Claim My Butthole”. He does an AMA on reddit every year, and I sincerely hope he has no son based on those covers.

Reamed By My Reaction To The Title Of This Book sounds so meta and self aware that i'm kinda really tempted to pick it up.
edit: oh come right the fuck on. Pounded In The Butt By My Reluctance To Buy A Humble Bundle Featuring Stories With Gay Characters As Though That Has Some Kind Of Bearing On My Own Sexuality Or The Quality Of The Product Then Eventually Realizing It's Pretty Good And I'm Fine

Nothing on that list is as funny as Neader's insane book list and than Goodson criticizing the amount of guys on the list.

I just finished Vineland and really loved it. The ending is the most immediately pleasing of the Pynchon I've read; clumsy in a lot of ways but I feel like he was optimistic back in '90 and felt the need to project that. If you've never read Pynchon this is probably the easiest one to start with.
I have Against the Day and Bleeding Edge left and then I'll have the whole bibliography.

Finished up I'll Be Gone In The Dark the other day. It's definitely well researched, but I'm not a huge fan of how it was organized. Unfortunate that McNamara wasn't able to complete it in her vision. Still very interesting/horrifying story that I had not been previously aware of.
My reading of this book also synced up with a dude in our neighborhood caught looking through windows and trying to break into houses. He hasn't been caught yet, so that's been nice.

I finished "Future home of the living God" a few days ago, and I'm still upset with the way it ends..

I just reorganized my library so they are all in chronological order of original publication date and I'd forgotten my Fitzgeralds are all part of one collection so I have to just shove the whole thing in the general area of the '20s like a goddamn fool.
Also found out the newest book I own is Wolf in White Van lol.

I found this and GG&S to be really interesting from a premise perspective but a little unconvincing from a conclusion perspective. They are well written and very thought provoking, but there's a lot of supposition.
Would still recommend tho.

I just reorganized my library so they are all in chronological order of original publication date how come? The macro answer is that my gf and I are reorganizing the apartment anyway; our shit roommate finally left last week and so we've been moving everything around. There were a couple bookshelves that we decided to shift and so I had to unload and reload them regardless. It was kind of on a whim, why I landed on chronological order. It seemed fun, and it is actually interesting to me to have the ability to look at my books and have a vague understanding of who influenced who, or what historical events influenced certain works.

I just starting rereading this. I read it during a rough time my freshman year in college and it really made an impact on me. I want to see if it holds up.

Jared Diamond is garbage and any actually historian will tell you that most of his writing is nonsense. He cites facts are completely incorrect at times.
