Og Hairspray all time great movie but tbh the remake was quite good too despite being derived from the musical vs. the movie

I generally don't like musicals, but agree that both versions of Hairspray are good.

Coronavirus film rankings: Inside Out Mission: Impossible - Fallout 2 Fast 2 Furious Ratatouille Apostle You Don’t Mess With the Zohan Love & Mercy
Empire Records Can’t Hardly Wait The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
21 & Over The Fast and the Furious Fast and Furious Charlie’s Angels (2019) He’s Just Not That Into You Hitch Torque Final Destination 3 Must Love Dogs Final Destination Valentine’s Day Final Destination 2 Project X The Final Destination
Final Destination/Fast&Furious-A-Thon is still going on. FD3 is terrible but at least stars Actual Actor Mary Elizabeth Winstead. FD4 may actually be the worst movie I have ever seen.
All of the Fasts and Furiouses have at least been enjoyable to watch - Fast and Furious (the 4th one) was surprisingly boring and for that reason I’m sad to say it may be the worst of the series. Lucas Black almost sinks Tokyo Drift but Bow Wow and Han are fire. 2 Fast 2 Furious is a legit good movie and I wish we got more entries that were just Tyrese and Paul Walker vibing but alas.

prime streaming a selection of films from this year's sxsw is a nice move.

prime streaming a selection of films from this year's sxsw is a nice move. Sounds like it's going to be just for 10 days in late April, and it's going to be in front of the Prime paywall, so all you need is an amazon account to watch. Most of the short films from this year's festival are already streaming free here: mailchimp.com/presents/sxsw/

In fairness to it it a lot of the scare shit was 3D tricks which are insanely dull in 2d but i saw It in 3D and it doesn’t excuse how fucking dull and boring the back half is.

Anyone got a directer I can follow up Cronenberg with that's mostly on streaming? everything I come up with is not the case my immediate thoughts were Craven or Carpenter. certainly not the same depth as Cronenberg movies but you can get some good animatronics and body horror stuff with some relative meaning behind it my initial answer was Lynch but all i can find is Eraserhead and Fire Walk With Me on Criterion

Would love to do Lynch but nothing is streaming other than the ones you mentioned and my partner wants to do a full twin peaks rewatch so I would love something...less lynchian Considering Verhoven but again, nothing streaming. Might still end up doing it

1. Videdrome 2. The Brood 3. Dead Ringers 4. The Fly 5. Cosmopolis - This was just an exceptional movie that kind of felt like a culmination of everything that had come before, even though I know Cronenberg has an aversion to authorship of films. Appropriately end times film for the end times, every scene existed on its own and in the narrative of the film. God the scene with the academic was just brutal and jarring. 6. Naked Lunch 7. Crash 8. Eastern Promises 9. History of Violence 10. Rabid 11. Shivers 12. Spider 13. M Butterfly 14. The Dead Zone 15.Existenz 16. A Dangerous Method - This was good technically, it was just hard for me to really care. Definitely has alot of Cronenberg stuff but also just kinda felt like "ok" when it was over. Keira Knightly is certainly doing a lot in the first 30 minutes of this movie. 17. Scanners 18. Fast Company 19. Stereo 20. Crimes of the Future
