The song 'That Thing You Do' is brilliant as you never get tired of hearing it all through the movie. yeah i swear to god every time they rushed out on stage i was just fucking WAITING to hear that drum intro, it's such an earworm of a song just stellar songwriting throughout that entire movie. tom hanks (co?)wrote "lovin you lots and lots"

Been wanting to see this for years but waited until I could watch in a theater. Was not disappointed. Incredible film.

I remember saying at the time I hope we don't have to wait so long for another Jonathan Glazer movie, but Under the Skin came out in 2013 and here we are.

IMDB says he has one in post production, so maybe not too much longer?

Who else is seeing Infinity Pool this weekend? I'm going tonight and am looking forward to whatever kind of freakshow it turns out to be.

This is at the bottom of the NYTimes review: "Rated R for murderous tourists and militaristic genitals."

Just got back. After all these movies of hers, if I ever see anyone who looks like Mia Goth, then I'm running in the opposite direction.

Somehow have not seen one of the movies she's been in - which seems impossible since she's seemingly in every horror movie released over the course of the past two years.
Anyway, Everything Everywhere All At Once was just re-released at a local theater so I'm going to see that tonight.

Just got back. After all these movies of hers, if I ever see anyone who looks like Mia Goth, then I'm running in the opposite direction. Yep. Run. Run fast. Really liked the movie. Not totally satisfied with the ending. I would have done the ending much differently. Still, overall, a pretty great movie. Please do not read my fake spoiler until you have seen the movie. My ending would have been... James gets revenge on the group by killing ever one of them, cloning himself one more time after he is punished, then leaving the country.

we rented violent night from redbox yesterday, which I liked better than I thought I would when the better half suggested it.

Tar was a fucking snooze fest. First hour didn’t need to be there. Blanchett was amazing though.

Banshees of Inisherin was depressing, gruesome, weird. Shotgun Wedding was dumb. You People was okay; alternately funny, cringey.

inside the Jewel-Osco a block from the Music Box, Kamera. I think a couple of the local Jewels have gotten rid of the boxes, but not this one, yet.

it's not us, because we only rent about once a month; it's the neighborhood families w/ kids who rent there regularly.

Everything everywhere all at once is a good film with no repeat value for me which is mostly my review of all movies. People thinking it’s a slog are dumb and wrong.
Alamo drafthouse is still working out the kinks but they booked Boyz in the Hood and The Harder They Come so I bet I go back there at least once
Edit- Learned yesterday the folks at Bric a Brac designed the interior/arcade area of this place. That's kinda neat

Okay, so Knock at the Cabin was really tedious once I realized that I couldn't care about any of those intruders since I don't believe humanity has some sort of inherent right to exist.
